is anyone else having problems with the earpods? i can't really make phone calls when they're plugged in, and quite often can't actually hear the audio coming out of them. sometimes i can make one call, then when i try to make another i just can't hear anything - or sometimes if i can hear them, they can't me. I need to unplug and just use the phone regularly.

I'm having problems with the % battery indicator, it is like sometimes it does not show the correct %.
In PB2 I reported to get the iPhone turned off at around 30% of battery. Now in PB3 it happens sometimes but at 20% after turning low power mode on.
Also there are some times where it keeps at 1% while I continue using it for several hours so of course the indicator is showing a fake %.
And the last one that happened recently, it was showing 100% for several hours and when I checked the battery with an app I got this:
4f527c50af1354a00e6c7031d052a20f.png

After restarting the device it showed the correct %

Anyone else with this issue?
I have the exact same problem

I love how ios 10 performs so far but the only thing that worries me is that the betas are unencrypted so when they add that back maybe we will lose some of this performance?

Has anyone had any problems with the Camera app? I'm using the latest beta.

Using the 'Photo', 'Slow-Mo' and 'Square' modes, is shows a blurred or black view.
I have the exact same problem, happen randomly though.

Ugh that damn scaling. Every iOS version on my 6+ has displayed some amount of apps "snapping" into place as the UI fits into place. This happens even on iOS 10. Not as much as it used to but it still happens. I wonder how hard would it have been to use a native panel (2208 × 1242).
And heck they can market this as "higher than 1080P screen". /s
Right?

Performance impact would be negligible. Use your phone happily as usual.

That's news to me. Where did you get that information?

I doubt that the final version will be encrypted.
They have learned from their mistakes and encrypt only will you need to not affect the performance.

You guys think we can get dev beta 5 today? or do you expect it next Monday? I read somewhere Apple might be moving to a weekly beta schedule.

Do you guys think apple can fix a few bugs over the air, without needing an update?
Because for the past few days now, i am no longer having the quick reply freezing issues, and also no longer is my signal dropping. It's been working just fine for at least 2-3 days now.

It's been known since the first beta release that ios 10 kernel is not encrypted thus the good performance. Tho...I doubt Apple will leave it not encrypted because it will make jailbreaking much easier.

It's possible your device resprung and did a hard reset type of thing that caused the bugs to disappear. I had blank quick reply issues with my Air 2. After doing a hard reset, quick reply has been fine since.

If anything, they may be tweaking things on their end. A good case in point are the rich links in Messages, which go in and out of functionality.

False alarm, quick reply issue still happening for me. Just did it again, blank message. First time in two days I've seen it. It was happening pretty frequently before that.

Me too. I have blank in messages replying

Blank screen goes 10-15 secs. And I can reply when 15 second later

Ah, the kernel encryption. Thought I'd missed them disabling user data encryption in the beta.

I don't know if they'll switch that back on but I'm surprised it has noticeable performance impact, with encryption being fully hardware accelerated.

Yeah, maybe it's just in my head. But I ve noticed that 3rd party apps work somehow smoother.
