I am perfectly OK with new iOS 7 era design, flat, bright, etc. But I am also OK with iOS 6 era design. Looks old but can reminds us a ton of things.
There might be only one thing stopping me from using such old software: app compatibility.
Unlike you, Microsoft Office suite jumps from iOS 7 or 8, kicking out iOS 6 entirely. Some online games abandon iOS 6 entirely. Some utilities are built on top of iOS 8. I find I have no choice to remain my iPad mini at iOS 6 forever, although iOS 6 on iPad mini is blazingly fast comparing to iOS 9.
iPhone 6s Plus? iOS 9 pre-installed so no way. :p
I am not a fanatic about design, but a fanatic about stability and compatibility. Current iOS 10 beta 1 is better comparing with iOS 9 beta 1? No. Soooo many crashes, and slow performance. I would rather recharge it every single minute than suffering overall lag and stutter but hey, first beta.

Alright, a bit random stuff. ;)
I've had no issues at all with 10. Only thing broken is quick reply on the lockscreen. I haven't had a single springboard crash. Have you tried restoring lol?

The only reason it runs well for me is probably because this is the 3rd iOS version my phone has ran.

No. I dare not try restoring as this is often risky and I lose some non-backup-able data like Siri suggestions, and keyboard autocorrect data.

I've been waiting for this for AGES! iOS 10 makes me want to jump back to iPhone again.

Don't know if anyone has posted this or it's the same in iOS 9, but when you ask Siri to 'enable dark mode', Siri replies 'Sorry, but I'm not able to change that setting.'

Im pretty excited about dark mode as im sure most are. Having a dark screen saves battery as well. Not that battery is an issue for my uses, but will help.

If the final version releases with Dark Mode I will buy a new iPhone purely to get a space grey one lol. I've never had a dark phone and always felt iOS doesn't really suit dark iPhones but I've got to admit, a Midnight Blue iPhone with DarkMode would look fantastic :)

Hate to break it to you all but the messages dark theme is for message screen effects and the settings app dark theme is shared code from the Apple Watch (PSListController.usesDarkTheme). Been there since iOS 8

No Busta Rhymes mode for iOS 10. Get it together, Apple or I'm switching to Phatdroid

(This is no less absurd than the 10 identical threads about dark mode)

This is exciting indeed! That Control Centre toggle might hint at why the current Night Shift icon is so damn huge and looks like wasting space!

I'm 101% sure that Apple is just teasing us and it will make dark mode available only for the iphone 7.

I'm pretty positive dark mode is coming. The night shift icon is way too big in control center and I think it's just filling in space for the dark mode icon that isn't ready yet.
