Ah okay I didn't notice the banners but I'm fairly positive that the control center drop shadow is new to iOS 10 beta 2. And I appologize for all the weird typos in my last post, half of the time I'm not even reading what I'm typing because of the bug that shoots you to the bottom of the page when you hit return or backspace!

I spend half my time fixing typos before and after posting. Apple ruined posting on forums!

In fact, that "pick up" not just pick up colour and adjust the hue of CC as well as notifications.

Here is my wallpaper.

And here is what CC shows on my side.

You can see CC projects the shape of the body of that girl as well, not just colour.

Hopefully they backtrack on this, it's silly. Also, notification have the type of material but don't pick up the wallpaper.

I think it looks horrible too. It totally violates that whole layering thing they introduced with this new UI. And just because someone, for example, wants a flashy yellow wallpaper doesn't mean they want muted nasty yellow banners and control center.
Totally agree with you, the whole translucent layers that they introduced with iOS 7 is gone on the control center. This doesn't make any sense because the translucent effect is still present in the notification center and many other areas so this control center look out of place.

But oh well, you know it's Apple, change for the sake of change.
