My iPhone X was rock solid before I upgraded to iOS 11.3 this morning. Now, I lose LTE connectivity every few seconds.

*Full LTE signal
*Drop to nothing
*then 1x
*then 3G
*then full LTE
*drop again

I'm on Verizon. I have reset my network settings, and restarted the phone multiple times. Essentially, it's a damn brick.

Anyone else having this problem?

No issues with 11.3 on my iPhone 7 using Verizon.

Go to Settings > General > About and see if a carrier update is available (it'll pop-up an update prompt if so). Otherwise, backup and restore via iTunes. Very unlikely to be a hardware issue when all was well pre-update.

There isn't one available, I always check those after an update.

I'm chatting with support. My iPad Pro is doing the same thing, so this has to be software related.

It's possible that the carrier and modem update for Verizon that came with 11.3 tweaked things just so that in your particular area (home I'm assuming), you are now constantly switching between LTE on and off as you are at a threshold. Keep us posted. I know with T-Mobile, they can push a signal to your device that kind of re-establishes the connection and maybe that can help if Verizon can do something similar. Bummer bud.

Definitely. Are they with the same carrier? Could be a modem firmware issue too I guess if that was changed behind the scenes in 11.3.

They're escalating to Apple Engineers. Verizon is not experiencing issues in my area, and all my co-workers on Verizon are running fine. They're mostly on Android, though. One guy with a Verizon iPhone is not on 11.3, and he is not having any issues as well.

We updated the phone in recovery mode. No change. No carrier settings have been updated (I have not received a prompt).

Nope. On Verizon wireless and Fios at home. Rock solid.

What's your Carrier version?

I guess in the meantime I will sit here scratching my ass, dividing by two.

They've been rolling the carrier updates in with the iOS updates lately. On AT&T it went from 31.0 on iOS 11.2.6 to 32.0 on iOS 11.3. And I've not seen a manual carrier settings for a while...maybe not since iOS 10. So this may be a new iOS 11 thing where they just roll them together (probably because it was confusing to most people).

Try an iCloud backup/restore?

They have often included them in iOS updates, but at times have pushed them out separately too, just seems that the latter has been occurring less frequently lately.

i think you are on to something.
apple has changed something in this latest update in the way the iPhone is seeking its network.
after updating i see that my iPhone (6s) is reporting (probably accurately now reporting) signal strengths that are less than giving full bars. thats ok to report this in terms of how many bars indicate the actual strength of the signal, but i think what they may have changed is what it is doing to continue to seek more optimal strength availability.
i would expect more forum threads to begin to confirm this shortly.

That's funny, because my area always has full signal, everyone else had full signal, and my phone is the only one with problems after updating to iOS 11.3. Still trying to work it out.

Haha.

Glad they’re actively searching for a solution and sending it up the chain of command for you. My bet is that you’re going to end up 1) retting phone to factory settings, and if that doesn’t do the trick 2) Getting a new device.
