New UI for Apple Maps in landscape mode! Taking design cue from Carplay :)

Seems that stuff like Split View, between-apps drag & drop, etc. requires the CPU to be recent enough. The mini 2 doesn't get them, FWIW. It does, however, get the new Dock.
Mini 2 gets drag and drop, in full glory.

One of my favorite changes in iOS 11 is that it finally fixes the Messages bug since iOS 8-
Open messages, hit edit. When you hit done, it doesn't animate. That's been fixed after two years of bug reports.

I was just playing with the rotation lock feature in Control Center and I unlocked it, rotated the home screen, then locked the device and was presented with an iPad-esque landscape lock screen.

However now I keep trying to repeat the process and it won’t do it. Feature or bug? I don’t remember iOS 10 doing it!

The lock screen doesn't work in landscape but the notification screen (which looks a lot like the lock screen now) does on the 7 plus.

The snooze text when the alarm goes off now has a big orange background so it’s easier to hit :)

I don’t know if this has already been mentioned somewhere, but if you hit a link in safari like www.google.co.uk that opens in a new tab, you can close the tab and go back to the page the link was opened from with the normal swipe back gesture.

Not new to ios 11 but a feature I love a lot. Really appeals to my neat and tidy instinct.
