I figured out what was throwing me off. What I meant was the notification swipe from the top action. What confused me was that it uses the lock screen wallpaper instead of your home wallpaper. Mine are dramatically different, and I'd never seen it anywhere other than at the lock screen.

This is on purpose. The lock screen and notification centre are unified and the same thing now.

Im liking it so far, still way better than ios 8 beta was. The new parallax effects do slow down my 7 slightly though im sure that will be ironed out.

Does Faces on Photos now sync between devices? If so, how would it know which device it will follow? Ex. If I tagged all faces on my 7 plus but not on my iPad and MBP.

Thanks

I am 100% sure that Control Center is going to be redesigned. Right now it looks like something from 2007.
There needs to be a way to get to brightness and volume controls without seeing other windows from the app switcher. It’s a retrograde step.

I believe that it was announced during the keynote that faces now sync between devices. I can't check however as I only have the beta installed on one device.

Edit: Just noticed it's on the wiki post. Oops.

Can anyone comment on GIF support in Photos? The High Sierra feature slide shows that the macOS Photos app now supports GIFs.

Here's a GIF to test with :)

- Putting the iPad control center into the multitasking UI is annoying. Why would I want to minimize the current app to change a setting?
- Mixing the lock screen and notification center is terrible and confusing.
- New unlock animation is confusing as well and it does not have enough movement.

Listening to Siri state the time is slightly irritating. Instead of reading the zero as a zero, it says O (oh) 7 (oh) 2pm.

Ask Siri her name (UK Female anyway). If it gives you the answer "My name is Siri. But you knew that already", she sounds very annoyed.

In app autofill now implemented. Press the key icon in the QuickType bar to bring up saved passwords. Not sure if it'll suggest passwords if it recognises the app you're in?
