Except he had some valid complaints.

Like what? There's "too much space" so "they made everything bigger and chuncky(sic)"? What does that even mean? How does it help to be the 5th person in the thread saying it in the "Changes, bug-fixes and enhancements" thread?

I'm not participating in this thread derail any longer. Don't like it, report it to Apple. I'm sure they'll get right on filling empty space for unspecified reasons.

On the Emoji keyboard, there’s vibration feedback when you change Emoji categories. Why do we still not have a full tactile feedback keyboard?! Or even the option for it.

I am trying to figure if you are pulling a fast one. If not, please tell what you are talking about, it seems very interesting and I don't recall observing the phenomenon.
it works now but the colors are still off on the album covers

It works, Color accuracy on album covers is still wack though. C'mon Apple, stop F:eek::mad: around and make a proper dark mode, all media apps should've been dark years ago.

Oh, you know what... I think I decided to switch the profile to the Public profile in the hopes it would be less buggy... I just forgot I did that.

That would explain it. By the way, doing that won’t change your experience: almost invariably, it’s the same software, just released a day or so later in most cases so that any serious bugs that crop up will not affect the public beta users.

Search finds a TV Out setting in Settings -> General which doesn't actually exist. Can't recall having seen such an option before. Is it new or perhaps defunct?

I think this was there in iOS 10. I remember playing around with it to see what it did (nothing!)

I wonder if it's contextual and appears in the menu when you're attached to a TV with a cable.

If I click on it, it just takes me back to the Setting main page. Weird. You may be right. But how do you connect a phone to a TV?
TV Out was/is in iOS 10. What was new in iOS 11B1/2 but isn't present in B3 is a "Widescreen" option in TV Out. The TV Out setting last worked in iOS 6 as did the Widescreen option - both more or less disappeared in iOS 7, frustrating, that…

The TV Out setting is not contextual - I tried out my Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter with a BenQ display and a Dell Display with my Air 2 and iP6S+, and I can't see a TV Out option. Pooh.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate you clearing up the Scooby Doo Mystery!

DND while driving (for systems not compatible with Apple CarPlay) now will not allow you to unlock screen without clicking on a dialogue button stating “I am not driving.” Previously it would allow you to unlock phone as normal.

Note that clicking this button turns off DND while driving so if you do this while in a parking lot or at a light it cuts off. We’ll see if it turns back on by itself once you start moving again.

This feature was present in beta 2 as well.

Bug:
When auto-enhancing a photo on iOS 11 beta 3, the depth effect photos are not able to be saved following an edit. Saving takes 30-45 seconds and upon that, the following error message appears. Beta 2 had a similar issue where changes were not made, but did allow saving.

Seems to be a bug in iPad multitasking but I’d appreciate confirmation before I report. Basically animation in apps (say an animated gif in iMessage or a webpage with an animation) seems to cause strange artificating.

Could someone open this link in a tab on iPad then enter multtasking and tell me if you see a flashing white border around the screen edge please?

The Public Beta is just the latest Dev Beta delayed a few days in case there is any major issues.

Not having this problem on 12.9 Pro Gen 2. It seems to pause the animation when I enter multi-tasking

Haptic feedback seems to be fixed in this build...it doesn’t make that terrible clicking noise anymore.

The Now Playing widget will now open the source app when you click the title or artwork.

Here's what I'm seeing. apologies for the poor quality gif. Not sure where to upload the mp4 directly to

The nature of the corruption seems to change with what other apps are on screen.

Interesting. Yeah, tested a few times and mine pauses the animation when in multi-tasking. Don't have a 9.7" pro handy or I would try that.

Even the one I posted above runs for me in multitasking. I can induce some super funky effects, like when you face a mirror to another mirror.

Oh well. I’ll go and report it. Thanks for trying.
