iOS 11 Beta 7: Changes & Enhancements, Bug Fixes, etc.

This beta seems identical to Beta 6 for me. No bug fix for my smart insert colors issue. The battery seems to be a little bit better however and the phone not going hot as easily as previous beta's.

Continuing to see improvements in performance on both my iPad Pro 9.7” and iPhone 7. The animation when invoking the multitasking screen by swiping all the way up on the dock is the smoothest it has ever been on my iPad. Keeping my fingers crossed for improved battery life because the last two betas were not great.

I have had one odd bug for several betas now. When I get an email, I get a duplicate notification on my Apple Watch. All other notifications come in as normal with no duplicates. Has anyone else run into this bug? The watch is running watchOS 3 so I’m thinking it may be a compatibility issue related to not running the latest software on my watch. However, if anyone knows how to fix this bug, it would be appreciated. It’s very annoying!

Don’t see many changes. I’m sure EverythingApplePro will make a video of 50 minuscule changes you need a microscope to see.

but based on his latest vid on beta 7 it did show it fixed the black screen lag on the lockscreen and plenty of smoother animation

Displaying correctly here, though I've never seen the issue you're claiming in any of the betas. (Also have no issues with animations / 3D touch on 7+).

I saw the 1d 2m thing he's talking about in Beta 6, but it's fixed on mine in Beta 7.

This has been gone since beta 3, but you still can’t play flac files in the files app. I wonder why they removed it, it was working just fine.

Is it just me or using GPS based apps like Google Maps, Waze, Pokémon Go depletes battery faster than what is expected when using location services on iOS 11 betas?
Compared it with 10.3.3 and it’s better on that version.

A 100mb/s Line will only download at a maximum of 12.5 megabytes a sec. But in reality it will be around 8-10.

100mb/s is 100megabits a sec. There are 8bits to a byte. So you need to divide your line speed by 8 to get your maximum.

As you can see from the screenshot. I have a 200mb/s Line and although the maximum is 25megabytes a sec in practice I get around 20-22.

I always found, that those speedtests aren‘t very stable on iOS.

I got a 400mbit-line but my iPhone 7+ sometimes only reaches about 100mbit, sometimes it is like the attached pic.

Anyway, on my MacBook Pro I always reach about 400 mbit, both in the same WiFi. I think it has to be iOS or the iPhone‘s hardware.

It’s getting quite irritating! I hope Apple fix it soon as I’m considering switching off notifications until it is finally fixed. It’s been like this since PB2 I think.

I noticed this too when phone reboots it will show old notification like text messages which haven't been read. Reported it already and hopefully you will too!

For OTA update you'l need the profile installed.

But at this point, public beta drop at the same day as DP. I think from now on, only the GM release will drop one week before the general public exclusively for Developer Beta.

When doing Navigation in car with Maps, the screen doe not light up 10 km or 2 km before I have to change direction. If I light it up manually, it will not get dark by itself (as it was in iOS10). I have this error through all PBs. Can someone confirm or comment?

BUG: Searching for Auto-Brightness in Settings yields two results. The first one takes you to the correct page. The second one, however, they have yet to remove.

I can only see the first result, not the second one.

Disappearing email notifications bug still not fixed.
After all emails and email notifications are deleted and new emails arrive, the first email notification disappears when the notifications transfer to the earlier today section of Notification Center.
I watched the notification vanish from Notification Center.
It then shows one less notification compared to actual emails. (See pics above)

Am I the only one noticing this?

What I feel shocked is I cannot receive any email notification from macrumours anymore under my gmail account.

I’ve noticed a new toggle for vpn in settings. Was that there before because I’ve never noticed it.
