Has anybody else lost space after the update? After updating my 6S (64GB) from 12.3.1 to 12.4 my free space went from 5,3 GB to 4,1 GB, so I lost 1,2 GB. Is this normal?

on my 12.9" 2018 iPP I am having problems with the files app not working properly

So far on an iPhone 8 I am unable to connect to any WiFi network and the data connection over LTE is very slow. I’ve tried a network reset which did not help. My work iPhone 6s on 12.4 is fine though.

Update: Resolved. My VPN app was causing the problem. It was in a loop trying to connect and failing. Had to disable “connect on demand”.

I have the iPhone 8 with Qualcomm
Modem, and my modem firmware is: 3.70.01

The first post is listing it as 3.60.01. Can someone update that?

I updated it.

Thanks. Your post made me wonder if I was able to update the first post, so I tried.

I got to that point where I was able to edit, and notify the author. I stopped at that point. If I continued, would I have been able to update it, or would that have just sent notification to the author?

You have the option to update the post with or without notification to the author.

I updated my iPad Pro to 12.4 today and it was at 100% battery after the update. Played slot machine games for about an hour off charger when the iPad shutdown. When I tried to boot up it showed battery at 1%. It normally uses about 15% per hour, so it should not have completely discharged. When I plugged in the charger it showed battery at 50%. What? Anybody else seen this behavior or was it just a fluke?

And I still have the problem that i sometimes cannot close the last app from the switcher. When I swipe up the background gets darker. When I close the switcher and open it again the app appears again. When I swipe up and swipe to left to the another apps it comes back.

Have this bug since 2 years, reported it all the time but Apple never fixed it. It happens on all iPhones. xD

On my 11” iPad Pro, when I get a new message and open up my messages app the keyboard looks like this. A tap anywhere and it reverts to normal, but still an ocd eyesore when I see it.

I currently have iPhone6+ with 12.3.1 and everything is working fine with no issues. Now the 12.4 update just popped out for me. Still debating if I should update.

Just bought a new XR, it came with 12.3.1 I updated out of the box to 12.4, cellular data is slowwwww. My 7+ That I upgraded from isn’t like this. I’ve reset network settings didn’t do a thing. Thinking I may downgrade back to 12.3.1 tomorrow.

You should base your decision on if the new features or updates is beneficial in your case. And also if jailbreaking is important to you as there maybe still a chance for 12.3.1 but not 12.4. Just a thought.

Ok thanks. I'll take those into consideration.

IOS 12.4 Bugs

With IOS 12 being this late in it's lifespan and IOS 13 on the horizon, one would think that bugs like this would have been ironed out by now:

MESSAGES
(iPad Pro 11) When you check a message that is not an iMessage on the iPhone, it does not sync to the iPad and show that the message has been read. The messages still show as unread and the red badge still remains on the iPad. (iMessages sync correctly)

(iPad Pro 11) The red badge doesn't always show when messages are received. (iMessage and non-iMessage). A restart or reboot temporarily fixes this.

SCREEN TIME
(Ipad Pro 11 and iPhone XS Max) The weekly report summary push notification from screen time isn't always sent. I used to get one on both devices every Sunday after 9am but now I inconsistently get it on the iPad and don't get it on the iPhone.

MAIL
(iPad Pro 11) The email notifications on the lock screen don't always match the actual amount of emails received. The iPad at times doesn't send the notification for every email received and you end up with less notifications compared to the actual amount of emails you have.

Has anyone else experienced any of the above issues?

I will say that improvement has definitely been noticed in my games (particularly Modern Combat 5). Even on an iPhone 7, it would occasional lag and drop to like 10 FPS and be unplayable. Hasn’t happened once as of iOS 12.4.

Phone Bug

If u make a call
Then go to your home screen while still on the call
Tap the phone app
It makes 2 instances of the phone app
(See picture)
Active call on the right
Dialer on the left of it
