sarcasm aside...
what I had found is beta 2 usually comes on Tuesday's even though WWDC was on a Monday. Could be 10, 15 days. Who knows. only apple. :apple::confused:

Apple rarely releases beta updates for different versions of iOS on the same day... iOS 11.4.1 betas dropped earlier today... so highly unlikely that we also get 12.0 beta today, too.

I don't know if its already mentioned in this post, but if you're controlling your HomePod vía music app in your iPhone (selecting HomePod on control center, not streaming it with airplay toggle) if you go out of range of your wifi and then returns it will only show connecting in control center and you can only control volumen, but not next song, play pause or view whats playing unless you go and enter the music app.
(already reported thru the Feedback app).

Am I the only one for which Screen Time is reporting some strange values? For example Facebook is counted under 'Social Networks' but is also listed separately in my app usage and in the graph. This results in a screentime usage graph which lists half of my screentime as 'other' because each separately listed app is also counted in the 'other' category. My total screentime is correct but if I calculate the total screentime by adding the different numbers together I get double the time..
Screen Time definitely needs some work. (I see the same issue with Instagram on mine.) Also, I get no stats reporting back to me on my son's phone (set up in family sharing). It doesn't even report stats on his phone. It does enforce the time and content restrictions though.

Hope to see some improvements to it in beta 2..

Not a bug, but yes... that trips me up every single time. iPad as well. Not a fan of that (seemingly) pointless change, but it’s a muscle-memory thing.
I am always pressing the wrong one too, and putting @ signs instead of spaces. There has got to be a more consistent keyboard and better auto correct. Don’t blame us for not being better at it!

When I choose the contact drop down in messages and choose audio, it defaults to FaceTime audio instead of calling the number. I’ve reported it via Feedback, but didn’t know if that was an issue limited to me or others as well.

Has anyone else experienced that?

It's a feature. Send feedback if you want it changed to phone instead. I sent feedback and hopefully they'll change it.

I miss the iOS 11 version where it would dial whatever I had as the default for that contact. At least give us the option back.

Yeah.. you have to hit the “info” button to get the other calling options. I personally think it should default to the normal call option so I had submitted a feedback request on it a few days ago. Perhaps they’ll change it. Not sure why they messed with it in the 1st place.

Any ideas what the criteria is for Automatic OTA updates - connected to power and Wi-Fi?

I don't think 'connected to power' is necessarily required... it might depend on the battery charge level. I know I've updated iOS using OTA without being plugged in... it does, however, require a WiFi connection.
