IOS 12 will it drop support for 1GB of ram iPhones ?

They will probably cut off support for all pre A8 devices. A8 devices with 1 GB RAM are likely to be supported in iOS 12.

Best thing Apple could do imo would be to drop both the 5s and 6 in iOS 12 but make iOS 13 support all the same devices i.e. don’t drop the 6s. A bit like how iOS 9 continued to support 4s (rightly or wrongly in that case. I think this case would be different.)
A8 and A7 with 1GB of RAM (so excluding iPad mini 4/iPad Air 2) are about the same in terms of performance on 11 so I think they both may be cut off. We’ll see. It leaves those devices in an awkward place, and it makes me wonder why the Mini 4 didn’t just receive the A9 instead, as it came out in Nov 2015. Apple being suspicious again...
Right now only iPhone 7, 8 and X are still fast on iOS 11, while 6S is Trying hard (iPhone 6s is just like iPhone 7 WANNABE or pretending to be fast as 7 but failing) the regular 6 is not as good as 6s though.. 64 bit does not matter if its cpu is so underpowered especially for 1.3 Ghz and below..

Apple is still selling iPhone 6 in Canada through carrier channel and iPod Touch. These devices have A8 processor with 1GB RAM.

Plus if iOS12 is about refinement and performance performance, then it makes sense for Apple to include iPhone 6 in the list. I would also think iPhone 5S will also be included.
If they keep the 6 and 6+ they’ll keep the 5S. No difference in performance between these devices, I’ll even be bold enough to say the 5S performs better. iPhone 6 was the only iPhone I’ve sold after 3 months from release because it offered no improvement performance wise over the 5S
The iPhone 5s/6/6+ on iOS 12 will be comical. 1GB devices already struggles on iOS 11.
It has never been about performance, it's about dropping support for older devices to encourage hardware upgrades. If it were about performance, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air would not have supported iOS 11.
Revising my opinion about dropping the 6 in iOS 12. That was based on using the phone with a degraded battery

People need to replace their batteries and stop complaining. iOS 12 is going to pull another iOS 9 and keep all current devices.

You are unfairly knocking devices based off performance of a well known buggy/poorly optimized release of iOS 11.
Considering Apple already announced they shelved "new" enhancements in IOS 12 in favor of fixes they shouldn't cut off any current devices. If the device can handle IOS 11 then it should easily be able to use IOS 12. Now had they put an all new interface in along with power user enhancements.. then I'd cut off iPhone 6 and below. Leaving 6s/7/7s/8/X/New Phones Name Here..
I don’t think Apple will dare drop support for the iPhone 6 at the same time as the iPhone 5s, but I’m curious to see how well the 6 and 6 Plus will handle iOS 12. Probably worse than the 5S on iOS 11.
iPhone 6 is slow with iOS 11.0 or 11.3 and anything in between.
A8 and older devices are simply slow running iOS 11. I don't see those devices speeding up with iOS 12.
