Mail every now and then gives me an error about unable to connect to server. I just refresh and it connects with no issues.

so umm i really hope they put out a WatchOS GM for Series 1 & 2 watches before the current beta expires. i mean i don’t know why they wouldn’t, but still. it’s starting to make me anxious

Sigh...this bug seems to have snuck in at some point during iOS beta. Basically can't open an app on first tap after swiping home when on another page on springrboad. It never occurred in iOS 12 (except when trying to open an app from the dock, which Apple fixed in iOS 13). It took apple 2 years to fix this when it occurred on the dock, so not holding my breath here.

To reproduce:
  1. go to page 2/3/4+ on springboard
  2. Swipe up to go home
  3. Immediately try to open an app.

This beta has been superb, but home screen wallpapers are still washed out. The preview is richly hued, but the appearance when set is dialed back.

P.S. Can no longer see who likes posts on here following the forum update. Bummer man 🙁

I can see the likes but you may need to log out and back in. I had to clear cookies and caches for MR since I was not able to login from Chrome.

I can't reproduce that.

same thing that happened in beta 3, I'm getting mail notifications usually, but not always, on the lock screen however im not getting a badge letting me know. I need to actually go into the mail app for it to show I have tons of new mail there. once I do this, the badge updates and the phone dings.

EDIT: well it appears that beta 3 and beta 4 tustve turned off my badge notifications when it installed. weird. I just checked and they were off, which would explain things. I just turned them back on and will see if that fixes stuff.

I can’t reproduce what I see you’ve done in your screenshot. But going through your steps I get the following: 1st tap on app nothing happens, after a second tap the app will open. I get the same results all the time. Swiping back to first page: no bug.

I can't reproduce that.

That's strange...note that you have to be pretty quick. I've been able to reproduce on my device and received confirmation from others that its there. Note that if you tap more than once you can open the app; it's the first tap that doesn't register.

Right - I've clarified that it's the first tap that doesn't register. Tap again and it will open

Anybody have somewhat low quality album previews in Photos? Seem a little on the blurry side. The Feedback app showed less than 10 people reporting the same thing in Beta 3, but it now shows None after updating.

Not a big deal at all, just an observation.

So far this has been smooth. Performance wise it’s more consistent. Battery drain seems better. Messages have contact photos. Regular texts are now being forwarded to my iPad Pro again.

only problem: if you travel in and out of no service areas. The phone seems to now get stuck randomly on No Service until you do something. It doesn’t auto scan when you’re back in a signal area.

I saw this bug two times while traveling the NYC subways to my home. I’ll see if I can reproduce tomorrow. But just a note.

I’ll test my Bluetooth bug as well.

XS Max.

While I was at the mall earlier, I was not able to get an accurate location in Maps when I tried to navigate to a specific store.

This beta def feels a lot smoother. Haven’t had any issues with data or battery draining. No lock ups.
