Sigh...this bug seems to have snuck in at some point during iOS beta. Basically can't open an app on first tap after swiping home when on another page on springrboad. It never occurred in iOS 12 (except when trying to open an app from the dock, which Apple fixed in iOS 13). It took apple 2 years to fix this when it occurred on the dock, so not holding my breath here.

To reproduce:
  1. go to page 2/3/4+ on springboard
  2. Swipe up to go home
  3. Immediately try to open an app.
Can reproduce. I assume it has to do with blocking interaction during animations cause I can only reproduce it with the normal home screen app icons, the dock works without issues (cause static icons).

Mail still replies to emails in a conversation to MYSELF instead of to the original sender if I hit cmd+r on the Smart Keyboard on my iPad Pro. I can’t believe they won’t fix this!

I’m having issues with App Store payments, it is asking me for a password every time on my xS Max, I’ve gone and checked the toggle for once every 15 mins however

With this beta it’s possible to make reviews on App Store. Usually that’s only possible on final version.

Running suprisingly smooth. Expected to see some bugs here and there, nothing to fix with one more beta before actual release though.

We are getting pretty close to the release of 13.1, we may see one more beta to arrive next week before actually releasing it.

Very good on iPhones, still badly buggy on iPads (how to do split screen multitasking from apps not on the dock?).
3 out 3 of my usb memories cannot copy simples files from/to my iPad Pro 2018 (the Files app either crashes, or freezes, or does nothing).
All three work fine on my 2015 MacBook Air.

Mail seems better. Not perfect, but better. When I turned my phone on this morning, the new mail notifications worked. Previously, the first lot of emails would often have silent notifications in the NC which disappeared as soon as I tried to look at them again, even after unlocking the phone. Today, they worked properly and made a sound. The Mail app's badge icon was correct in showing the new mail count, but it didn't drop to zero after I read/deleted the new mails. A couple of minutes later and it was correct.

Another email has just come in and the notification worked but it came in silently. Apart from that it was fine. I can live with this.

Edit: Many more emails have come in, and all have worked perfectly. Best beta so far. If this went live, I'd be ok with it.

The most recent tab in Safari still crashes when I return to the page after switching apps. This happens once or more in a day.

"People" in Photos app shows "updating people" for several weeks. I always leave the iphone on charge all night.

- You can still only swipe the most german words with Ä, Ö, Ü only when you swipe Ae, Oe and Ue.

- Keyboard still changing whole sentences into senseless

- One handed mode is still messed up. Cannot deactivate it easily.

- Automatic shortcuts still doesn’t work. I get a notification that I left my home and getting asked if I want to disable WiFi. What does this have to do with „automatic“ shortcuts?

They have only fixed 3 known bugs and 24 known ones are still there.

I have a quick question, apologies if it has already been answered.

Based on the usual roster of podcasts, I heard many rumblings early in the beta process that upgrading one device (say an iPad) to iOS 13 but not others (say an iPhone) would create specific iCloud and app based issues. For instance, Reminders would no longer sync between devices. Generally speaking, there was a risk of breaking the integrity of iCloud and syncing between devices.

If I upgrade today to iOS 13 on one device but not others, will it break iCloud on legacy devices? Have there been any reports that iCloud Photo Library is problematic if certain devices remain on iOS 12?

Thank you for any guidance/help.

Yes it will break your Reminders. That’s the only iCloud feature I believe older devices won’t be to use once you upgrade your Reminders. The app will prompt you if you would like to do so not and let you know which devices will lose access.

When you first go into reminders on an iOS 13 device, you're asked if you want to upgrade to the new features. If you say yes, you'll break compatibility with older OS's, if you say no or later it will remain compatible with at least iOS12, probably earlier. You're given a list of devices that are being synced with reminders, or that you are sharing reminders lists with that will be affected to help you decide.

It's really been done quite well.

so umm i really hope they put out a WatchOS GM for Series 1 & 2 watches before the current beta expires. i mean i don’t know why they wouldn’t, but still. it’s starting to make me anxious
What's the beta expiration date?

Running iPadOS 13.1 beta 4
Unless I missed this on previous versions new minor feature. In landscape mode first time after updating was asked if I want to add the today view to, if you say yes swiping left from screen one will not dismiss the today screen in landscape mode. Also under display and brightness in settings at the bottom there is a switch to keep today view on screen.

indexing of attachments in messages is still broken =(
Is it actually? Or did you just not wait long enough.

Some other guy (including me) was having this problem but after a couple of days his finally finished and it worked normally. I ended up going back to 12.4.1 because of this and my iPhone 7 was getting hot with light usage. This was on the GM.

Mine was indexing from last Tuesday when I installed beta 3 and was still indexing yesterday before installing beta 4. Still indexing attachments.
