Do you have lots of attachments? I have like over 1000 photos between conversations. The other guy who said it took 20hrs for his messages to have finished indexing had like 5000 I think. I guess it just takes a long time or it’s a bug. Whatever it was it bothered me enough along with my phone heating up with very light usage to go back to 12.4.1 on my 7 where all is well. I might sit till 13.2 to see if these bugs have been worked out.
Question, I have the same problem. Did you have your phones connected to your home wifi and lightning cable during the whole time?

Currently on this beta, what’s the score with the iPhone 11 arriving tomorrow. Will I be able to restore my current iPhone (13.1) onto the new iPhone 11 out of the box?

No not the whole time. I left home for awhile. I only had the GM on for one full day. The next morning after I saw it was still indexing and the phone was getting hot with light usage I panicked and went back to 12.4.1. It just didn’t feel polished and I had a few weird graphical bugs like the dock flashing sometimes like something was weird with dark mode.

I did like some things and I do hope it’s tuned up in 13.1 or later. For now I’m going to keep my phone cool and bug free on 12.4.1.

Interesting..

Backup on iCloud. On the new phone, set it up as new and don't log in to iCloud.
Go to betaprofiles site and get the profile, download and install 13.1 and then do a full reset.
Then log in to iCloud and restore.

Thought as much. Thanks

If you look at the available list of iOS 13.1 Beta 4 devices for OTA, it now shows iPhone 12,1 ,iPhone 12,3 and iPhone 12,5. I believe that's the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
For those interested the referenced files are dated 9/19 and are 2.95 GB in size for the 12,1 and 3.22GB for the 12,3 and 12,5.
