Erased my beta profile 30 mins ago (13.1b4) and 13.1 official release popped up in my OTA now
I was on 13.1 B4 and did mot show the beta profile and saw the update 3GB+I'm running bet 13.1 beta 4. I had the profile section but its now missing. When I go to the software upgrade it says I'm already on 13.1. Do I have to reinstall the profile and then delete it to get full 13.1?
Try going to your iPhone settings and turning iMessage off then back on.Seeing the same on my IPP 12.9
I have 13.1 (17A5844a) on iPad Air 2 and on iPhone Xs. Deleted the public beta profile a couple of days ago.
Over the air I'm offered an update (huge).
via iTunes on macOS Mojave, no update offered ?
(don't have room for over-the-air update on iPhone Xs right now, and I prefer downloading full releases when exiting the beta)
So is 13.1 equivalent to 13.4 beta in terms of stability and tweaks or is it the same as 13.1 beta........or something in between?
There is no "13.4 beta". The version of iOS 13.1 released today is the same build as the 13.1 beta 4 (17A844 = 17A5844b).
That wasn't the issue, Mojave could see the phone just fine. it's that iTunes didn't think there was any newer software available from Apple. If you are on the beta build, you need to put it into recovery mode to get it on iTunes/Catalina's finder
Still no announce messages with Siri. Really miss that feature 😓
Can you please start the "iOS 13.2 Beta 1 - Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements" thread? I'm convinced, as you're so fast, that what actually happens is Apple waits for you to start a thread and then releases the beta.... Coming to iOS 13.2
There is no "13.4 beta". The version of iOS 13.1 released today is the same build as the 13.1 beta 4 (17A844 = 17A5844b).
Good find, but is this a permanent change? No way to re-authorize or include?
If they’re the same build then why is the beta version much smaller in space (123MB or something like that) compared to the official 13.1 release (3.24 GB)??? The wallpapers can’t hold that much space
Yes, as @adrianlondon says, the GA release is the full iOS. The beta releases are deltas of the changes, so long as you update with each one. If you skip a beta (e.g., go from beta 4 to beta 6) you will have to download the full (read "large") version of the iOS release.Beta sends what's changed since the previous beta, official release is the entire iOS system.
That's how I understand it, anyway.
Was able to go back to beta 4 from 13.1 OTA!
Went back to beta 4 since that performed better than 13.1 for some reason. I believe it’s the same build so I’m not sure. But beta 4 was better so it popped up on a software update so I installed it and everything is running smoothly as expected. I’ve never downgraded OTA before so this is a first. Took the risk, didn’t know what would happen but nothing bad came out of it.
