How did the phone have the details of a credit card you don't use on your phone? Every credit card added to the Wallet has to be manually authenticated, and also verified by the bank which involves emails or texts back to you, unless you activate an "add to wallet" feature within the bank's own app.

Thanks. I use my credit card for online purchases using my iMac but not my phone. So Apple obviously took the information about my card from my iMac and transferred it to my phone without my permission. I've written to complain but assumed they won't do anything. That's why I joined MacRumors so that I could publicise what they did and alert people. I also told Apple that I was going to warn others by writing to the Guardian

Do you mean you had it as a stored credit card in Safari, or you somehow had it in the Wallet? I always thought the stored credit cards in Safari (under form filling) were totally independent of the Wallet / Apple-Pay. They are in my setup, anyway, as I have cards in one and not the other, and vice-versa.

The problem still here. AirPods 1 drops connection as soon as the phone is in my pocket. And Apple Watch S4 drops connection when I’m 3 metres away from the phone. iPhone XS Max with iOS 13.2 beta 2 (problem started with 13)...

I have tried resetting everything, unpair etc. none worked.

Am I the only one, as I have seen most reported bluetooth issues are car connections issues?

It’s not software. It’s hardware. Get a replacement Max. I had these Bluetooth issues late last year with my watch and AirPods. Now I can go far away from my phone again without issues.

I have a Bookmark Folder on Safari called Banks which includes all my banks. But to access a bank I have to go through the bank's security - passwords, etc. I assumed only I knew this but obviously Apple are able to access my Bank, otherwise how could they have got the card?

They don’t...and can’t...

You obviously gave Apple permission at some point to add that card to your Apple ID

There are so many steps to make this happen...even if you already had the card assigned to wallet...to add it in after a software update.

If you had no cards in wallet, why were you in there? Just curious? I think what you are saying is that you randomly opened it and saw your card in there?

Did you tap on the card to see if it is even active??

Just (mistakenly) upgraded iPhone SE to IOS 13.1.2. Discovered it included Wallet & Apple Pay. Horrified to find Apple had downloaded my main Credit Card without my permission. Deleted it and informed my Bank. Not allowed to delete it but will never use Wallet & Apple Pay. My advice is don't upgrade to IOS 13.1.2 if you don't want your credit card to be used by Apple.

No. Without question, they absolutely did not. At some point you have stored your details with them, or with Google Chrome or somewhere in keychain and wallet. You have expressly given them permission to do this at some point. I promise you I don’t want to sound harsh, but this is entirely 100% user error i.e. your error.

I didn't randomly open anything. I had never heard of Wallet & Apple Pay till I found it on my phone after the upgrade to IOS 13.1.2. I opened up this Wallet thing and found my card in there. I never gave them permission to put it there so I deleted it. I'm intrigued by your responses defending Apple. What they did isn't defensible. I started using an Apple computer in 1988-89 when I thought they were an idealistic company with good designers. Obviously that isn't the case any longer. My mistake was to accept the upgrade but how was I to know what it included. From what you say I should certainly stop using Safari. Probably I should move to another phone.

So...this will be really embarrassing for you when you realize Apple had nothing to do with this then.

As stated above, user error. They have no access and there are multiple steps to add a card’s information including authorization from the issuing bank (assuming it is active).

And in the 10 billion to one chance that this happened without your knowledge, only you have access to it and have to authorize each use. But again...you did this at some point and simply do not remember.

Btw...wallet has been on your phone and available for years, so again, nope....

EDIT: Are you married? Have kids? Share your Apple id with others?

How were you in any way harmed by that card (which you used through your Mac) being added to Wallet on your phone? Also, how is what occurred deceptive on Apple’s part? Nobody here is defending Apple since there is nothing to defend.

In regard to your question about how you could have known what was in the update, every update shows you what the upgrade includes if you take the time to read it.

Been on vacation the last week and used AM a good bit and 13.2 B2 on my XS Max For the last couple of days. These are things I did not notice or degraded compared to the prior betas.
AM info on the AM thread.

Okay.... Issues with my XS Max since B2.

Mail (sigh) ... I have 5 mail accounts hooked to the Mail app. The app will show nothing unread. I go into an account in Safari and low and behold I have unread mail. I’ll manually refresh Mail. The unread may or may not show up. Then a couple times a day, poof!, mail appears. I have these accounts set to Fetch (4) and Automatically. I have one sent to push since it supports this. Good news is that the badge does match the unread in the accounts whose total matches the All Inbox unread.

Wireless charging ... Since B2 I have developed a problem where I place the phone on one of my 3 wireless chargers. The little green battery will light up on the lock screen. However, if the tone doesn’t sound, the device never charges. Green battery with tone = charging. Green battery without tone = no charging.

Messages ... transmitting attachments to non-iOS devices is really slow. WiFi, LTE, 5Ge, etc .... even Messages itself is slow to iOS devices but not as slow.

AirDrop ... Sent some pics from my vacation via Airdrop to a couple of folks and found that Airdrop has gotten slow. Select 25 photos - select AD - select person - it starts doing it’s thing and suddenly looks like it is done. Nope. From a minute to a few minutes they suddenly show up at the recipient and I can see they are done. Slow.

Phone ... I can get a call from the same person 2x in a row. One time I will only get an “accept slider” on the phone screen, the other I get the Accept and Decline options. Cannot see the rhyme or reason for the option shown.

Camera ... At times I will click the “button: to take a photo and nothing happens. Like it doesn’t recognize the selection. Thankfully it is infrequent enough I didn’t miss and really nice pics. Another thing on Camera, the device appears to have trouble focusing when going through objects like a tunnel. It may select the wall, floor, ceiling, far end, somewhere in between ...

3rd Party apps ... have had several apps crash after opening.

Have to see how this goes. I will post more as I find them. Most submitted via feedback.

Have just updated my older IPP 12.9 to B2. I’ll post on what I find there later.

If you have Fetch set to Automatically, it won't fetch in the background unless it's connected to power and WiFi. There's an explanation below the fetch settings when you select auto. That's why emails show up only when you manually refresh for those accounts. You'll need to set Fetch to a time to get emails in the background.

Mail is still screwed up so even with Push and Fetch set properly, some emails still won't show when you open the app without manually refreshing it.

The card gets linked to your icloud account.

Agree with these and others. If the bank info was stored in Safari or in Keychain, and iCloud sync is on, it will migrate (as it should) from Mac to iPhone and iPad, but there is no possibility at all that it migrated into Wallet without user action/authorization, including explicit agreement with bank terms and typing in the three-digit code.

Every time i get a new phone it may remember the cards from my old phone but it will not activate unless i enter the cvv code. Then it presents the terms and conditions from the issuing bank which you must accept.

Only then can the card be used for Apple Pay. It does this on every device for first time setup. Even for the watch. It does it for each card for each new device.

My local bank even used to require that I call them to activate. When my cards came up again for iOS13, I didn't have to do that. But only because my bank updated their authentication process.

I’m thinking their card wasn’t actually added to Wallet, but when they first opened Wallet, they were asked if they would like to add the card they have on file (AppleID) to Wallet. They probably saw this prompt and just assumed their card had been added already.

Even if the card is actually in there as he states, WHO CARES??

It's HIS CARD! In HIS PHONE!

Now, you tell me that someone else's card suddenly shows up in your phone and you can use it with Apple Pay to charge up a storm, you have my attention. This is a non-issue from someone who is obviously confused. I hope he calls the newspapers and reports Apple so I can read about it on Reddit later.

I never had that issue prior to B2 though. These items are changes I have noticed since I installed B2.
I will give 15 minutes a shot and see if that changes anything. Thx

My email accounts, whilst not perfect, are much better since removing them and then re-adding. Might be worth a try.

Did that a couples times during the .1 betas. Even tried deleting and reinstalling the Mail app.
Had minimal impact.
Thx for the suggestion though :)

This... this is exactly what happened.

@StumpyBloke
I went ahead and swapped to a 15 minute setting. That triggered an old/new set of bugs :(

Now the badge matches the total count but when I open the All Inbox Unread, it shows nothing Unread.
ugh .....
I am so annoyed with this Mail.
Glad I am slowly switching everything over to ProtonMail ...
