I've been debating whether or not to install iOS 13. I'm on iOS 12 from iOS 10 but now I have all kinds of problems with my car bluetooth playing pausing and advancing audio. Sometimes Apple Music and TuneIn radio play at the same time, insane. Was hoping that these types of problems are resolved in iOS 13. Yes? No?

I updated to iOS 13 (now 13.3.1) about a month ago on iPhone 8. Works fine (except 1 possible issue below). I waited a few months and looked for speed and battery related reviews (several on YouTube) because I did not want my phone to slow down or (more importantly) get reduced battery life because the 8 has a small-ish battery and needs recharging more often than I like.

Only issue is in Messages. I need to receive a SMS message with an authentication code (2FA) to log into a finance site, and the message recently is taking over 1 minute or is not received at all and I need to get it sent again. I rebooted the iPhone and it fixes this and the 2FA message is received in 5 to 10 seconds. Probably this is a little bug that will get fixed eventually. It might be a settings issue too, I tweaked a lot of settings to get best possible battery life and possibly I need to reset those to default as was suggested by someone a few posts ago.

I also had a previous problem with Messages but I think this was on iOS 12, the app would not let me write a message in landscape mode. Reboot fixed that.

I made a big jump. iOS 11.4 to 13.3.1 I was half asleep and sick of the stupid iPhone SE telling me to update all the time.

The update has made my phone almost worthless. Here is why:

Before the update, my phone hooked up to my wifi and stayed hooked up. Zero problems with any app except the constant battery bs that came with the ios 11 update.

Now with 13.3.1 Apple has changed the wifi connection. Now my iPhone PRETENDS to stay connected via wifi but does not actually do it! I shut off cellular and only use wifi. But the new os is trying to push phone users to just leave data on. Great IF you have unlimited data, hell for everyone else. My phone is just now turning 2 yrs old but hasn't worked well since i started updating the iOS!!! I don't buy Apple hardware to have it become useless after 2 years. iOS software updates are a scam, ya ya security, that is their excuse, but they can change anything they want every update and no impartial judge even gets to look at what they have done. It is wrong that they can disable their hardware like this, it should be against the law to prevent users from reverting to a devices original OS.

I've had so many problems with my iPhone 11 at this point that I'm considering iOS 13 to be BETA software.

And yet most people seem to be OK with it. Not disputing you've got issues, just that is somewhat disingenuous to call iOS13 beta software because a few people have issues with it.

I'm well aware that numerous folk here have posted, but being totally realistic we can hardly be taken as representative of the entire market.

Would love to hear how you’ve conducted the research that led to the conclusion that most people are OK with it.
