How does this beta compare to 13.3.1?

I'd say stick with 13.3.1 if you use Open in Background a lot in Safari. It does not seem like much, but that option is now number 2 in Safari contextual menu, and when you go back to a device that still has it as option 1, you begin to feel the regression pretty soon.

In other ways, 13.4 beta is fine, Mail is as good or worse as it was for people. No serious improvements to upgrade to at this point. I am personally considering a shift back to 13.3.1 until iOS 14 beta drops. It was smooth and worked well for me with zero hassles for my usage. The only thing I really like in 13.4 is the addition of battery percentage and time and signal etc. in Control Centre.

That Safari issue is to me what Mail issue is to others here. :D

This is now beta 4 without a shift back to the top for that option in Safari, I am beginning to think they want to keep it that way now - unintuitive.

Excuse me for my ignorance but can you elaborate?

I do not like to keep battery percentage enabled. So, in 13.4 beta, if I ever want to see battery percentage, I can pull up Control Centre and iOS 13.4 beta shows the entire status bar there, with the percentage for battery, making it a nifty addition and shortcut for knowing battery percentage if I ever want to, without having to go into Settings and enabling percentage first.

I am back on 13.3.1 so I cannot post a screenshot now otherwise would have accompanied my post with a screenshot for further clarity.

Don't know which phone you have but you can't set battery percentage to show on the status bar on any iPhone from X and newer. Always have to swipe to the control center.

Okay. So that behaviour is now ported to 8 and older while having Battery Percentage option disabled in Settings.

Delay in accessing Settings > General > About might have been fixed.

safari contextual menu still has Open In Background as second option. Not funny.

I guess I don't understand this. How can I duplicate this? When I force touch on Safari, I don't see this option.

Anyone having issues downloading or updating apps in the app store? I had two updates showing this morning and all they do is just sit and spin (never updating), also tried to download a new app and it does the same thing. No idea if it's beta related or an issue on Apple's side (their services website says all is OK). Been trying for about 15-20 minutes.

Edit: Literally seconds after I posted this, it started working again.

It's the haptic touch menu that appears when you press and hold a link on a website.

This has happened to me very regularly ever since iOS 13 came out. I usually press the spinning icon again and then Update again. It works after that most of the time.

Wifi assist in cellular data settings keeps turning itself on after being turned off and the toggle is glitchy if toggled more than twice back to back.

my iPhone 7 will not connect to the internet and WiFi anymore this morning. It worked fine yesterday. This morning, nothing. I know it's working because I am using the same wifi and internet right now to write this reply and browse the net on my computer.

Gonna have to figure this one out ...
My main GMail account on this IPP has stopped updating. Says it is and "Updated just now" but it din't.
My devices in 13.3.1 (IPP 11 and IP Max) are fine.
Exchange and iCloud account are okay.

More to come.

Update 1: The All Mailboxes (3 columns) shows the latest emails. Inbox for that account does not. Strange.

For me this version feels slow than 13.4 beta 3 .. everything is smooth but slow ... I observed that when they are marking everything smooth, they actually slowing down everything.. iPhone 11 Pro 256 gb

I’ve noticed the same regression moving from iOS 13.4 beta 3 to 13.4 beta 4 here on my iPhone 11. I hope this isn’t eventually made the final build of 13.4.

Is this new? Don’t recall seeing it before.

They introduced a substantial input lag , everything is slow , sometimes animations are lagging . Is like I’m in lower power mode .. if this will be the final version I’m going back .. Even Samsung galaxy s10 is faster .. what is happening with iOS .. :(, I miss the old days when everything was fast , fluid and it was working ..

I must be Marty McFly then

Everything is fast, fluid and working here!

My wife’s iPhone 8+ wouldn’t connect at all thru her 30 min drive to work. But she didn’t do any troubleshooting or anything. I just heard about it later..
