My iPad mini 4 made me log back into iMessage and iCloud once the update completed. All the data was there but they both asked for my password. iPhone did not do this. Anyone else get this?
Not really. It‘s not new that they release beta builds on WWDC or after for the current iOS, has happened before. We’re 10 days away from iOS 14 DP1 - I’m really not sure what’s going on. This has been the strangest (and worst) iOS release ever - and by a long shot too.
That mail was confirmed fake / bait, it‘s not happening.I know this is a small issue, but when are we ever gonna get the option for the music player background to match the lyrics background, like Craig Federighi(?) promised when someone emailed him about it? That's the one thing that I've wanted for a while.
You say its a mess and then are objecting when Apple releases new versions, presumably to fix the issues?iOS 13 has been such a mess. This is ridiculous.
I was saying it's ridiculous how many versions we've had to have to make this a somewhat stable OS. I don't have a problem with them releasing new versions. You say its a mess and then are objecting when Apple releases new versions, presumably to fix the issues?

2020. Anything can happen. LolAre we expecting 13.5.5 to come out of beta then? Two consecutive betas? Where's .6 beta 1? What is happening?
Where am I...? Help...
There have been production iOS updates even after a new iOS version was already in beta. We’re 10 days away from iOS 14 DP1 - I’m really not sure what’s going on. This has been the strangest (and worst) iOS release ever - and by a long shot too.
Sounds like something more than just bug fixes went into this one that prompted the bump from a x.y.z trivial/bug fix release to a x.y minor release.I do wish Apple would just go with the point release number from the get-go rather than these 13.4.5 (oops...13.5), 13.5.5 (oops...13.6). I got it for 13.4.5 with the new contact tracing API (necessitating a point release designation) but what gives this time? All this does is confuse people, who think there are multiple betas floating around, rather than one beta with multiple "names".

13.5.5 is 13.6. Forget about 13.5.52020. Anything can happen. Lol
I recall seeing the last go round that it requires some new API to be present. Now, Apple can name its software anything it wants, but it does stand to reason that something fairly significant may have changed, even if we're not immediately aware of it. The code sleuths will be active in digging into this, I'm sure!Sounds like something more than just bug fixes went into this one that prompted the bump from a x.y.z trivial/bug fix release to a x.y minor release.
I wonder if this removes the “5GE” network tags that they agreed to drop.I'm on 13.5.1 - not a beta - and I just got AT&T 41.1 pushed to me.
Apparently, whenever they use an updated dev kit, they need to index the .X number up also. It’s not meant to confuse and honestly, the majority of iPhone users wouldn’t even know there was a switch up since they don’t hang around the beta gutter😉🤣I do wish Apple would just go with the point release number from the get-go rather than these 13.4.5 (oops...13.5), 13.5.5 (oops...13.6). After the update has been downloaded and deleted a number of times the red notification indicator is permanent (even if there is no update to delete)... I went through this staying on 12.4.1 since iOS13 was released. DNS cloak was the only permanent fix I've found so far...Probably not. AFAIK that only shows up when an update is downloaded & ready to install... I wouldn't know for certain though, I always jump on new releases right away.
Right, it's got to be something on the level of an API change or something else meaningfully new beyond something like bug fixes.13.5.5 is 13.6. Forget about 13.5.5
