If I were to just use an iCloud Backup of my iPhone XS Max if something were to go wrong vs. an encrypted iTunes backup, would there be a whole lot of difference?

On XS Max if I lift and swipe up as the screen comes to life there's no perceptible delay whatsoever. You'd swear it wasn't working at all if you didn't know better. 99% of the time there isn't even time for the little lock animation to even start and the other 1% it doesn't get to finish.

Wow. I hope he X gets that speed boost too

You would run into issues if you allowed the phone to backup on iOS 13 as you’d be forced to start as new when restoring back to iOS 12.

So if it’s really important the data on the backup. Then keep it on your mac or don’t install iOS 13.

Finding it very unstable on 12.9 2015 when using without plugged in power source. Works better when plugged in (UI refreshes) and battery is a drain in the ass either way, which is to be expected. Can’t find a crashing app, however.

You mean it’s lagging/skipping animations?

Have you noticed missing features (from the full advertised WWDC set) right out of the gate?

I’m doubting the original Pro will support all that stuff and/or run smoothly since it’s almost 4 years old.

Turn off iCloud backup after you do a backup and before you update.

The thing I don't like with dark mode for what I see is it do nothing for website in Safari like Firefox and other browsers do with their dark theme. At least I wish Apple allows Safari extension on iOS. Because of that, I still think smart invert do the job better if 80% of things you do on the phone is phone related stuff and web browsing unless you don't mind the all in dark UI but bright web pages.

I surprisingly don’t care about iOS 13 for my iPhone X. I’m super stoked about iPadOS 13!!! I already love my iPad Pro 10.5. With the new update, I feel like it would be worth more for me to not upgrade. With 4GB of RAM, I’d imagine it will fly like it does with iOS 12.

Quick observation after a few minutes with beta 1 on iPad Pro:
- LOVE the new home screen layout (widgets permanently shown AND smaller size icons - makes my 11” screen feel like a 12.9”)

- LOVE the new ability in Messages to select and delete multiple conversations just by dragging a finger down the screen similar to drag-to-select multiple pictures in the Photos.app (tap the dots next to Messages, tap Select Messages then drag your finger down the left side of the message list and BOOM)

- LOVE the new fonts and icons all over the OS

- new Low Data Mode for a particular WiFi network (tap the i in the WiFi list for more options)

- some apps are broken (so far Weather Up and Fantastical are acting up)

Does your physical keyboard work? My space bar is all goofy.

Got installed on Xr on windows
Yep, got it installed here on my iPhone 8 Plus with an old Surface Pro 2 on Windows 10. Everything went well except I can’t yet install it on the iPad Mini 5 because the installer was compiled back in January and the device isn’t recognized :(

iOS 13 seems nice but I might revert back to 12 until the Public beta drops—reverting is unusual for me, but battery drain has been noticeably crazy post-update (to an extent normal of course but really bad in this case) and the whole earliest-adoption approach just doesn’t seem to hold its former appeal but we’ll see.

So apparently Apple Music doesn’t get any love? I have liked it to have incorporated more Spotify features. As well as playing nice with non Apple devices. I guess i will have to stick with Spotify for a bit longer.

Hey Apple how about offering some iPhone wallpapers that have black on top to cover the notch. This is the one I use now because it totally hides the notch:
