Now I gotta go look 😖

Update: Looked at a handful of photos from my 12PM, a handful from my 11PM, and had my daughter send me a few from her 7Plus.

All but one from the 11PM matched header to map. The one that did not match was way off.
Photo was taken at Ragged Point California on the PCH yet showed a map location of Camarillo California.
No idea why.

do you have locations displayed at the top of all photos?

for those received from WhatsApp, Photo would miss the location and simply display the dates.

i have a few photos with displayed locations not matched with the map at the bottom, they show the locations of the photos taken after.

and I wonder how precise the location would be shown. I found in general they show the name of district, but in some of the photos taken in a nearby shopping mall, sometime it show the district name and in some other it shows “Home”

weird.

If you force-close safari, then open safari again and leave that screen on for a minute, it should start auto retrieving the favicons again for each bookmark or change the color if the website doesn't have a favicon. You may also need to go into each folder of bookmarks and wait for them to auto populate. You may need to go into the same folder a couple times for them all to change. It's a slow and glitchy process.

hello, do you guys encounter safari flickering when zooming.

i experienceit in google search. Dunno if it would happen in other occasions.

attached the screen capture.

strange.

So in FB messenger the txt is blank when you type or post links, messenger has been updated all ready several times by FB but I still have this issue? I have to quit messenger and go back in to see what I typed ? Other wise the conversation is just blank

I see the stuttering on some sites but it doesn't bother me. It happens more often when the screen has lots of images and text but not or less when there's only one image and text.

Don’t use WhatsApp so I cannot comment on that.
I am finding a mix of accurate and “sorta” close for the header info. If it is close to a landmark or building or sinilar, it takes the genreic location instead of precise.

Didn’t other say the hardware on other devices like androids allows it. So clearly the chips aren’t the issue.
It’s a Qualcomm firmware issue. One that they should have caught in early testing.
Apple (and now us) are dependent on Qualcomm to fix it. They promised by the end of the year. We’ ll see.

In China mainland, 5G is supported while using two active lines in Dual SIM mode on the line that’s using cellular data. Additionally, in China mainland, while using Dual SIM with 5G, 5G Standalone isn’t available. In Hong Kong and Macao, 5G isn't available in Dual SIM mode on iPhone 12 models.
That’s because in Mainland China, Apple supplies a phone that has two physical sims. In the rest of the world it’s a physical sim and esims.

So other android phones with same chip have same issue?

Settings, press on your name at the top, scroll down to the bottom and sign out. Wait a minute then sign back in. You need your Apple ID password.
It doesn’t mess anything up as long as you sign back in😉
By the way this will force your entire iCloud Photo library to resync, which can take hours.

Only log out and back into iCloud as an absolute LAST RESORT. Only do this late in the day, before you're going to sleep, so your phone can be plugged in and on WiFi so it can resync everything overnight. DON'T do it when traveling or otherwise depending heavily on your phone.

People keep saying things like this as if when 2021 comes around, everything is suddenly going to be different.
I think not having a completely insane president is going to at least keep things from continuing to get worse. I have some hope for 2021, even if it's... not a lot.

Do Chinese carriers not do eSIM? It's curious that Apple would have a completely different hardware revision with an extra SIM slot for China.
