I think beta 2 of any release is the one which is ahead of the previous public release.
However beta 1 is usually behind in the update content as compared to the previous public release.
what??? 😆

Expecting this to be a short beta cycle then for release of 14.6 in May;

It’s happened before, but it’s pretty rare.Didn't they do that once before? It was a weekend for sure, iOS 4.x or 5.x, cause it was about to expire (back when betas had expiry dates unless removed with tools).
The issue with Call Blocking apps not showing in Settings-->Phone-->Call Blocking & Identification after reboot or force-closing the settings app is still present in 14.6 b2. Need to manually force the call blocker app to update or change its settings, let it time out and try it again to get it to start working again.
Same here on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Finally.Maybe I’m crazy but, on my iPhone 12 mini, the blacks seems…blacker.
Does the call blocker still work even if it doesn’t show up in the phone settings? The issue with Call Blocking apps not showing in Settings-->Phone-->Call Blocking & Identification after reboot or force-closing the settings app is still present in 14.6 b2. Nope.Looks as if the issue with iMessage link previews being all messed up *might* be fixed…

I’m not getting the raised blacks flashing anymore in certain apps like notes, mail, messages however; there are still raised blacks in Photos and surrounding all SDR video. It’s probably acceptable but still defeats the purpose of having OLED.Maybe I’m crazy but, on my iPhone 12 mini, the blacks seems…blacker.
Link previews do not show up while composing a message in Messages app. Only the link remains as has been typed there. Can you explain the issue?
Really? It’s fixed for me. I’ve sent dozens of various links and they all appeared correctly.Nope.
Not fixed yet.
Perhaps you're talking about the previews as they appear in a received message.Really? It’s fixed for me. I’ve sent dozens of various links and they all appeared correctly.
EDIT: we’re talking about two different things.
I’m talking about what’s mentioned at the 5:03 point of this video:Perhaps you're talking about the previews as they appear in a received message.
I am referring to the previews expected to show up while composing the message.
Am I correct in this?
Yep! it's still there. Now I think it is a feature, not a bug...Sadly it is still there.
Grrrrrrr 😠
Oh, also…
I was on 14.6 Beta 1 and wasn’t on WiFi when this beta was released. I changed my cellular settings to “5G On” and “Allow More Data on 5G,” thinking that I could install a software update that way, but it still informed me that I needed WiFi to download and install.
Am I missing something?

Perhaps different carrier settings?Well that's funny, because I was on WiFi when the beta was released, and it still asked me if it's okay to download it via cellular...
