I just got a notification from the Watch app that watchOS 7 beta 7 is also out

After teasing me once in iOS 14 beta 1, this makes an appearance again in beta 7 on iPhone 8. Hope it stays this time. And yes, it is functional, too. Love this feature.

The spatial audio was said to be realized with iOS 14. I don’t get why they wait for the final realize. The “work” for it to function is in the phone, not the pod? Or am I wrong? Explain please 🥳
I think the word you're looking for is "released," not "realized." No worries, English is a tricky language 😉

How is HomePod beta? I have 2, but I am afraid on installing the beta, because if they get bricked im not in a country with an official Apple Store or even when they sell these.

So far so good! I've got a paired set of HomePods in our Living Room that I use with a 4K Apple TV, and another HomePod in my office. I waited to go to HomePodOS 14 until I updated to tvOS 14, and really just wanted to make sure the whole house would be fine in beta land.. I do notice that Siri seems to be more accurate although she sounds kinda wonky at times. I'm also not seeing many accidental "Siri's listening" moments like I was prior. Can't check the default media apps features yet because dev's can't submit apps with those features yet. Seems more of a maintenance release than anything else.

I'll add that I had installed the HomePodOS 13 betas and DID have issues, two of my three had to be reset. All I had to do was cover the top for like 15 seconds until they reset and then it downloaded the release OTA? Their Support Page says to only cover the top for 5 seconds, but I think that's just a device reset back to the currently installed OS, not a Factory Reset. I'm trying to find the link from then that said 15 seconds instead of 5..

Most likely, it will require a FW update on the AirPods and iOS14 to enable this function. Just having the feature in iOS 14 won't be enough. They have never released a beta AirPods FW update so we'll have to wait for a public release before this feature will work. Even so, it may not launch on 14.0 and could wait for a later update, depending on how well it's working or whatever Apple decides to do.

I feel stupid asking but what does this mean?

As an example: I read my RSS feed in an app called Reeder. If you want to go from the RSS feed listing to the article itself, you can tap the article link and it opens in-app to a Safari page. When you’re done, you can swipe back to the RSS listing out of the in-app Safari view. During beta 6, you couldn’t swipe back.

Say you’re in the Twitter app and tap a link...that takes you into a version of Safari, but you’re still in the third party Twitter app. Once you’re done looking at the content of that link, you can simply swipe back to return to your Twitter feed.

Beta 6 broke the ability to swipe back, but this beta has restored it.

iPadOS Weather widget is fixed now, it can detect your current location whereas previous betas would say location services were disabled.

Makes perfect sense now! Thank you both!!

Most 3rd party apps still do not show notifications, iPhone 11. I checked my feedback and it said yesterday that there was a potential fix identified for future OS release. Today it now says Open with more that 10 reports. Was this way in beta 6...notifications worked fine in beta 5.

Unless I’m doing something wrong (highly likely) I still cant organise the order of my favourite scenes and accessories in the Home app. Is this to be expected? Thanks

NM: sorted it
