Is 15.7.1 IPSW file signed? Or OTA only?

I'm trying to clean install using the IPSW file i downloaded from here.

But it kept showing error "This iPhone could not be restored. Declined to authorize this image on this device for this user."

The last time i performed clean install was last month using the iOS15.7 link provided by ioshacker too, but it was a smooth process back then.

Anyone could help?

I got the same error with the IPSW from ioshacker.
Yep, same error as well.

I’ve read that iOS 15.7.1 is not signed, so while iOS 15.7 is still being signed, I’ve installed/updated all my devices to that version. Maybe I’ll miss some of the latest security patches, but it’s a good version to be on for the next months, I think.

I tried to upgrade my 11 Pro via 3utools using ioshacker ipsw - fail. It says smth like “lack of shsh” or smth.

So I upgraded it over the air. Face ID works, no additional bugs and lags detected. It also seems no changes in battery life.

P.S. Actually, I see no differences in iOS 15 builds starting from 15.5-15.6. They all work the same way while builds 15.0-15.4 are horrible in terms of bugs, lags and battery life.

I update my 13 pro to 15.7.1 and everything works fine, except for the torch app last night 😂.
I restarted the phone after the update last night and again this morning. I will check tonight and see if the bug is gone.

Man, I’ve gotten multiple app crashes (from app to Home Screen unexpectedly) since upgrading to this release. Time for a clean install?

Has anyone figured out how to restore using the IPSW? I got an update to iTunes yesterday but don’t want to try, fail and possibly have to set the phone up all over again on the same version I am currently on 15.7.

Edit: tried on the updated iTunes version and got error 3194. So doesn’t look possible to upgrade using the ipsw.

The Torch app didn't come back again in the battery graph. (after two restarts)
Battery is as good as 15.3.1 was and i don't think i will make the update to iOS 16 any time soon. Actually i think i will keep it on 15.7.1 until iPhone 15 pro comes out. One thing I noticed compared to 15.7 is that everything is so smooth. Even third party apps. Everything is fluid. Not as snappy as before, but not slow by any means. It just flows.

Guys, how do you find iOS 15.7.1 in terms of battery life now? I can’t fully give my verdict on it, because the charge decreases unevenly. Firstly, it freezes at one value, then it starts to decline sharply. 🤯

After updating to 15.7, I've had a lot of issues with Shortcuts freezing. Mostly they will run from within the Shortcuts app but not from the home screen. Eventually the shortcuts start to fail from Shortcuts app as well.

Other issues with apps not responding as well. If I were on a Mac, I'd spin up Activity Monitor and probably find that a single app has take over the CPU or is blocking touch. Not sure what to do on iOS.

Rebooting my iPhone 11 Pro max helps but within a day or two the shortcuts stop working again. No such issues on any version of 15.6.x.

Now updating to 15.7.1 and hoping for the best.
