Nice little feature in Safari, if you want to change tab you don’t need to swipe on the address bar left or right, just press the edge of the tab which is sitting to the left or right and it will switch to it.

iOS 15: All the little things

I’m curious if anybody else has noticed this. Since upgrading to iOS 15 Apple Music now displays album art on my car’s secondary display (digital cockpit). With iOS 14 only music I purchased through iTunes showed album art. Not sure if it’s an update to the car software that’s done it or iOS 15 but it correlates with me upgrading iOS. It’s a really small thing but I’m really happy about it I was wondering if anybody else had experienced this.
I assume you are referring to the Focus feature?
I don’t think this is yet possible. Right now it’s limited to permitted applications and permitted people to contact you plus a custom homepage of your choosing.
Do the new versions of Safari sync all your tabs between devices? They said something like that at WWDC but haven’t heard anyone talk about it.
Yes—and (so far at least, for me at least) working better than iCloud tabs ever did.
They do, but it's not fully backwards compatible, at least at the moment. I don't think tabbed groups will get any support in Big Sur.
So for eg, I've got tabbed groups, but those aren't visible anywhere on Safari on Big Sur. Only the device tabs from other devices are visible.
It’s in the home page now if you have it enabled. No longer in tab overview. Another terrible change in Safari.
Yes, my tabs an one device seem to be very reliably available on all others. And can even close them instantly remotely from another device.
You can have the button for it on the top bar, so seeing them is 1 click away.
Right click anywhere on the toolbar and customise. Works in most macOS apps to add/remove toolbar items.
Either View -> Customise Toolbar or right click on the tool bar and select Customise Toolbar.
Ah...that's the Mac Safari toolbar settings. I thought it was iPadOS
Yea, apologies, I was in the MacOS forum looking through threads and didn't realise I had this one open from the iOS forum and got mixed up.
I still have my iCloud tabs on the start page on my iPad though.
Hmm, really interesting to see the new iMessage app icons from the screenshots in Apple's Child Safety feature announcement. Looks like they are reverting to the iOS 13-ish icons? The monkey definitely looks different.
My best guess would be that they wanted to launch this 18 months to 2 years ago but there was some obstacle that they couldn't overcome... and since they hadn't announced it, they just sat on it.
Not sure if this was mentioned but in the weather app on a sunny day, the sun moves across the screen from left (am) to right (pm) depending on the time of day.
