Battery life been solid here with 88% battery health on 11 Pro Max. Last charge was over 24 hours and still 59% left, Feels like back in iOS 13.7. only thing i did different was after updating to beta 8 resetted all settings. Might not as well update further who knows 😂View attachment 1829766

do you see significant difference in battery life after doing a reset of all settings? I’m considering doing that since Beta 8 brought much worse battery life when compared to Beta 7.

Is this a GM build? Am thinking to install in advance.
RC will come after event on Tuesday. There’s a chance they might release a second RC between the event and public release, but if you put the RC on, you’re most likely having the final version.

I know man. Mine got so good that at one point it was showing 290GB Free when my iPhone's total capacity is 256GB with about 110GB in use. I lost patience and then restored the iPhone and now all is normal. I am still on the BETA train and understand that things like this happen and am OK with it (Although I didn't want to restore but I did).

Why would you restore your phone simply because it’s showing an incorrect number for storage?

I was on iOS 14.7.1 before that & saw someone else mentioned that. It took maybe 45mins to set it all up. (settings, app permissions etc..)

why do i have this weird feeling that apple will surprise us again this year by releasing the RC on or before the event and then the public release will be the next day after the event… same as last year….

i’m on Beta 8 in my iPhone 7 and X and they seem to be OK, performance wise, with No springboard crashes. Battery in iPhone 7 is dreadful though.

Especially when it might be resolved with the RC on Tuesday
Just to determine whether that fixes it or not and to see what happens soon after. What I have found is that as days go by, the space gets reported incorrectly and more fictitious space become available. Just experimenting.

Do what works for you. You don’t need permission and you don’t need to explain yourself.

There’s no reason to. It happened last year, due to watches coming out earlier than the phones. That’s not happening this year.

I’m one that is hoping RC is a newer build as Im still having issues,my screen has become unresponsive at some times during the day and have to restart phone, visually the wrong storage being shown, dropping WiFi to 5G and back this at different location where I use WiFi just not at home, incorrect notifications .. yes I know its a beta but if this is going to be the RC looks like I’m going to have to set up as new and wipe my phone

Mine too. My 128GB iPhone 12 Pro now has 169.9gb avail, my 64GB iPhone 12 mini has 60.13GB avail and my 128GB M-1 iPad Pro 11" has 143.75 avail. Even my original 128GB iPhone SE has 165.84GB available. Apple must be using new storage algorithms. Unfortunately this doesn't extend to macOS Monterey which still uses REAL storage amounts.

I know what you mean. I restored my iPhone however I gain free storage space on a daily basis. It doesn’t appear to affect the performance of the iPhone. Now my recommendation is to wait this out until after the RC is released.

Hoping that 15.1 beta 1 releases few days after event ..but I think it will be towards the end of the month
I’m thinking that it’s gonna be next week, as I think that it coming out before x.0 was a one off last year due to covid and the split releases of the watches and the pro max & Mini.

Does anyone know if this beta has the fix for the Pegasus exploit that's in 14.8?
Hard to say for sure but I would gamble and state that the security changes will be in the RC build that is expected tomorrow after the announcement, if not already present in this build. Not too long now until the event tomorrow.
