Battery looked good over night for its first sleep.

Just lost 15% in an hour, just listening to a podcast (using Overcast) with AirPods (on beta as well). But that's all to be expected the first day of a beta and doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad in the entire beta.

Try a hard restart.

I always do a couple after an install a few hours later. Just helps settle anything.

My battery life seems to be way worse than iOS 16.6 b1, not that I am complaining this 1st beta of iOS 17 has been super smooth considering.
I'd say my phone lasts about 60-65% of iOS 16.6 b1, I have all log collections turned to max to help Apple root out bugs. I presume people who turn them off have better battery life and less overheating.

Yup it’s been using mail in the background 100% of the time since install. I’ve had to turn off notifications & did a restart to stop it. (See my photo above comment)
how solved this problem…mail app always eat battery
