My launch 13 Pro Max still with original battery was 99% before and after the update.

I am glad I didn’t get a 14 Pro/Max those health percentages seem to be very low for only one year of use.
My 13 Pro Max is at 90% ( Been at 90 since Jan. 🤷🏻‍♂️), yet still better than my old 12 Pro Max which was 83% after 10 months (Nov. 2020 - Sept 2021)! I'm thankful I didn't get the 14 Pro Max.

NO idea what is with these batteries since - at least - 2020.

Yikes. So I rarely ever charge overnight, I usually charge for an hour a day max. I don’t use wireless charging unless I have to or can’t find a lightning cable.

Then again I also don’t have a lot of apps and don’t use my phone much during the day. I go to bed with the battery around 60% each night and charge it for a hour or less when getting ready in the morning.

I hope the new iPhone 15 setting to stop charging at 80% helps. Also it sounds like they have a cycle counter now, finally.

All in all it makes me not want to trade in my 13PM this year or next.
Thanks. As much as I like waking up and starting the day with a full 100% I think I will give the 80% setting a go.

I have the same problem after upgrading to iOS17. I was talking about battery health with my friend some says before the update so I knew I had 100% before the update. I don’t use my phone much at home and charge wirelessly. After the update my battery health went straight down to 97% but that’s not even the worst part. I usually don’t care much about battery health and just enjoy my iPhone but this isn’t normal. Never had this after an update, and I have iPhones since the 3G. After the update 17.0.1 it went down to 96% then came 17.0.2 down to 95% now with 17.0.3 I have 84% I lost 6% since the upgrade to iOS17 in September. I’ve spoken to Apple support, they say it’s normal. No, this isn’t normal and I’m really afraid to upgrade to the next update. My iPhone 14 Pro is exact 1 year old. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean 100% won’t stay forever but losing so much battery health since the upgrade isn’t normal to me!

I am having the exact same issue and Apple told me the same thing. I have the 14pro. I was at 95% battery health when I updated to iOS 17. Today I am at 92% on latest iOS 17 version.

They said my battery has to be below 80% before they replace battery. The way this is going the battery will be below 80% in a few weeks. The health that is of the battery.
