Yeah that aspect ratio is great. I miss it sometimesMini is 5.4", not the same aspect ratio either.
lol the ipad 6 with an a10 is still supported, that can't be the reasonWell damn. There goes my iPhone 8.
I guess that bootrom exploit was all it took for apple to drop support for iPhone 8-iPhone X
I don’t know my friend but I keep checking nonetheless! What time to expect the dev portal to be online again?
Why do you have to have the latest IOS version? It's not like 17 is going to be some revolutionary leap like iOS 5. If your phone still runs well, why not just wait until you're ready to upgrade?
It obviously is not about hw capabilites. It's about planned obsolescence. They gotta to make some money from people upgrading.I don’t get it. What was there so profound that it couldn’t run on the original iPhone X?
My iPhone is still getting the update but I really expected iOS17 will come to all models running iOS16. That’s what a rumor claimed two months ago
Older iOS versions still get security patches.Security. It's not safe to run outdated vulnerable iOS version.
I’m not so sure if that’s the case.Security. It's not safe to run outdated vulnerable iOS version.
Are you effin real?? Are they really going to drop support for the XR? I'm going to be PISSED. WTFView attachment 2212706, the ios 17 page is broken, but here it lists iPhone X but not the 8 or XR.
They are still providing security updates to the 6s and 7 series with iOS 15, pretty sure Apple will continue to offer security updates to iOS 16 for the 8 series and the X.Security. It's not safe to run outdated vulnerable iOS version.
You don't need the newest iOS version to be protected from security vulnerabilities. Take the iPhone SE 1, 6S and 7 as examples. They both cannot run anything beyond iOS 15, yet Apple keeps offering security updates for them. The most recent security update was iOS 15.7.6 on May 18, 2023. 7+ years of security updates is pretty darn good if you ask me.Security. It's not safe to run outdated vulnerable iOS version.
That’s… interesting.View attachment 2212706, the ios 17 page is broken, but here it lists iPhone X but not the 8 or XR.
Might have been a fluke cause the page is showing the XR minimum nowView attachment 2212706, the ios 17 page is broken, but here it lists iPhone X but not the 8 or XR.
The X started with iOS 11, so it will have 6 major versions as well. Although it doesn't beat the record holder, which is the 6s at 7 major versions (iOS 9-15).Sad to see that the iPhone X got killed after only 5 years. I know that's a long time compared to any Android phone but I was still hoping to see the iPhone X beat the iPhone 5Ss record of 6 major version updates.
