Yep. Just confirms what has always been said about iPhones indexing and such after an update and the need to wait a bit for performance and battery to stabilize. Apple has finally confirmed it officially now.

I have not seen the background update after the last 3 updates for some reason

After updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 18.1, during a call and its Dynamic Island animation, the clock on the upper corner doesn’t show up anymore.
This happens only in calls, in other circumstances it is like it used to.
Already tried hard resetting the iPhone.
iOS 18.1.1 didn’t fix this.
Anyone else?
It seems that this is how it will work now. I also have it like this, and if you drag with your finger, without pressing, from left to the center of the dynamic island, it becomes smaller, going from showing the call time to just an icon and then showing the clock on the left.

Dictation bug fixed yet? It’s driving my wife nuts. It will be working fine for hours/days and then die. Have to restart the phone. Voice Shortcuts is not on. Silent mode is not on.

Yes, but sometimes the clock appears and the WiFi icon goes away.
Hope this is just a bug tbh, I need that clock like it used to be unti iOS 18.0.1

For my 15 PM the clock is always visible even when I have the big Dynamic Island phone call with time showing.
Maybe it’s indeed a bug?

Yeah, I’ve seen other Pro Max without this bug, seems it’s happening only on smaller iPhones.
But no one seems to care about it, so I’m hoping Apple can address this anyway.
I already reported this on apple(dot)com/feedback, but I’m just one…

Since 18.1 RC: Mail App is going crazy from time to time with either Google or Apple mail account getting stuck on mail fetch due to error. Force restart of app solves it for few hours up to a day.

I see .1.1 did not solved it.

Also Widget for Sleep and Vitals is not updating on it's own -.-

I don't know, but if so, it wouldn't make sense. In 17.x, 18.0 or 18.0.1 it worked as the colleague described, and it seems to still work in the Pro Max models. If the problem is the size, they should have done it that way from the beginning, not changing its behavior some time later because they don't fix any error and remove functionality from the dynamic island, which is not exactly overflowing, to be honest. Also, now I can't even see the seconds, only the minutes, and the dynamic island takes up more space hiding the clock and other icons. This design is senseless, and the person who designed it deserves to be fired, because it wastes a lot of space to show absolutely nothing. That's why I think it doesn't make sense that it's something about the size, because they've gone from a well thought out solution and adapted it to a larger black strip that hides icons and shows half the elements it showed before.

Had two random resprings today. Well, one respring and one complete restart. Weird.

Wasn’t doing anything unusual, just using the phone as normal.

For me webpages in Safari take a lot to load compared to 18.1 on my 14PM

Totally agree.
Hope iOS 18.2 can fix this, it’s very annoying

I have to log into every forum and website again on Safari….18.1.1
Anyone else have to log back into everything again? Just happened today
Didn’t have problems regarding the logins on Safari, but the whole app is a mess, some pages don’t load or take ages to load, copared to the Google app for exaple, on 18.1 it was so much snappier, I regret updating to this version. 14PM

This stinks and it’s getting worse, now it’s happening every time I open another webpage that I’m logged into…it was happening when I went out of Safari then back in. I think I’m going back to Beta…lol

Man. I really miss when iOS was stable. I have strapping almost every day. Today, my icons decided to go from tinted to dark, I’d change them back to tinted, and they’d immediately change back. And then a respring for 30 seconds, then it seems fixed.

Completely unstable on my 15 PM.
