I have no issues beyond the email push issue. Battery life has been rock solid; no crashing or hiccups. Just not receiving push emails. for @ Mac.So this thing is buggier than 18.3 on average?
Nah, wouldn't say that but at the same time its near impossible to tell. There's lots of under the hood improvements and security updates. The only glitch i've seen is the BT issues that happened recently. So this thing is buggier than 18.3 on average?
Go to settings>notifications>mail>customize notifications.I also have this problem but have no idea how to solve it. Tried everythingI didn't have this problem on 18.3.1.
It doesn't but thanks.Go to settings>notifications>mail>customize notifications.
Under accounts click iCloud, toggle alerts on and badges on change your sound to whichever you like.
See if this helps
Yeah, I’m like you, like WTH.So this thing is buggier than 18.3 on average?
Thank you for sharing your experience, Reverend. I know you always advocate for updating to the latest version, but I thank you for sharing this bugs.I have BT issues since I updates to 18.3.2 that I haven's noticed before.
Most obvious is when I stream music via BT on my car, it cuts out every so often.
First I thought it might be bad cellular coverage or that I had something in the car that might interfere, but it keeps happening. This is a 13 pro, haven't tested it on my other phone a 14.
Never had any issues before with BT. Have also noticed it happening with my airpods pro, not as much as when I stream BT in the car but still happening.
Will try and "re-pair" the devices again and see if that makes any difference. But just odd that its happening all of a sudden.
I wonder if this is similar to what people with iPhone 16e is experiencing?
Yea, its reported. Had a chat with people today at work to see if they experience the same thing but most of them are on iPhone 14 and noone had come across this issue. But the 14 has a different BT version (5 vs 5.3) and I guess a different chipset.Thank you for sharing your experience, Reverend. I know you always advocate for updating to the latest version, but I thank you for sharing this bugs.
Have you reported the BT issue to Apple? Hopefully it’s something isolated to your iPhone although, as you say, iPhone 16e users have been complaining about it as well…
Let’s cross our fingers for a 18.3.3 that fixes the Mail App notifications and the BT issues, and doesn’t break anything else.
I know you’re quite adamant when defending Apple software and updating to the latest version, and I understand it because security fixes are important, but if they break basic iPhone features I prefer to stay on a previous version, in this case 18.3.1 if it was still signed. Also, according to Apple this security bug was already addressed in iOS 17.2 and this is sort of a “complementary” fix. I don’t think it is that relevant but I don’t know…
Apple should focus more on the software part of the devices, honestly.
It is not on my 18.3.2Can someone help me, I'm on 18.4 beta and spotted this setting in Location Services under System Services. It's "Improve Location Accuracy". I don't remember it being there before and now can't check if it's already public. I can't find any mention of it anywhere online. Is it there on 18.3.2?
Thank you! Supposedly it's supposed to chose if you want to help crowdsource wi-fi and cell networks. It is not on my 18.3.2
I wonder if that replaces "Improve AR Location accuracy"?Thank you! Supposedly it's supposed to chose if you want to help crowdsource wi-fi and cell networks.
I am not sure, but I don't think that's it. I don't have that option, but I think 14 pro doesn't support that.I wonder if that replaces "Improve AR Location accuracy"?
That would be a last resort but I will keep it in mind, if an IPSW update does not resolve the issue on its own. Thank you. I’m curious how you managed to replicate the issue?@MrRom92 I managed to encounter your issue of not being able to update the apps after messing around w my phone a bit and a simple reset all settings resolved the issue.
It does remove the WiFi passwords from the Passwords app so you might want to back those up before you do though.
Was having some weird network issues so reset those settings and chose to reinstall using IPSW a couple times over the next few days cuz I was bored. And ended up with that issue. This was on 18.4b4 just fyi but settings reset should solve the issue for you as well. That would be a last resort but I will keep it in mind, if an IPSW update does not resolve the issue on its own. Thank you. I’m curious how you managed to replicate the issue?
I have it on my 13 pro on 18.3.2, its under "Settings>privacy & security>analytics & improvements".I am not sure, but I don't think that's it. I don't have that option, but I think 14 pro doesn't support that.
Yeah, it's there for me too, my bad. I falsely remembered it was under Location services.I have it on my 13 pro on 18.3.2, its under "Settings>privacy & security>analytics & improvements".
Good info, thanks for sharingYeah, it's there for me too, my bad. I falsely remembered it was under Location services.
