Agreed. Just like bears do business in the woods, the far left see Nazis everywhere. You could have bet the house, life savings, children's college fund, that the far-left were going to whip up a 'nazi' hysteria seconds after the inauguration.

I’m a staunch supporter of Israel and the Jewish people. But not the ADL. And the ADL changed their statement. On top of that he is literally is in bed with AfD who are number one “we’re not nazis but we are” party in Germany. Also trying to compromise our government here in favour of a jailed people trafficker and professional grifter (no joke).
And yes previous history says yes he’s stupid. And yes he would do it. Because he knows there’s no consequences because people like your good self are defending it.
I ask you to stand in front of your family or colleagues right now and do the same thing and see what happens.

Honestly, with how the German parties have sold out their own citizens, showing no regard for the differences of cultures and ignoring a lot of sex crimes and violence committed by Muslim men that they've allowed to waltz into the country, I can certainly understand supporting AfD because as we see everywhere, forced multiculturalism is a failure and is destructive. Western governments have failed their own people.
Again, if it was done to mirror the Roman salute particularly, you'd have a point, but I, and most people, do not believe he was doing that.
I haven't been ripped off, I have no investment into him or his companies. I appreciate Tesla and SpaceX and Twitter is a more open platform for non-leftists like myself now. If the guy turns out to be a political fraud, I'll be the first to criticize him.
You should look up the definition of literally.
Their Wikipedia page summarises everything nicely under the “neo Nazi controversies section”.
Also the contextual part was him being in bed with them which is correct because he presented at their recent political event as a supporter.

Couple of points here.
Firstly I understand that people think they have been sold out and quite frankly they have. Especially on the immigration front (there I agree with you!). But voting an extremism party in isn’t the solution. You play chess one piece at a time, not smash the board off the table and start goose stepping.
The other point is, and I know this because I studied classics, the Roman salute was the mark of the demand of submission to an authoritarian and totalitarian regime. It was pre Nazi nazis. When you killed and burned all the corpses of your enemies, and only the frail and the women and children were left you’d force them to salute the new emperor before they took them as slaves and wives against their will…
So probably just as bad no?
What I hear is the same arguments regurgitated from people who regurgitated them previously with little knowledge or historical context other than I assume watching Gladiator or something. I mean if you read Aurelius' Meditations you'll get an idea of how radically new it was being nice to people and it didn't stick.

I’m confused because I was surprised to be able to use texting via satellite on my 16 Pro back in October/November ish when I was in Eastern Washington. But this is saying the feature was only available in Samsung… ?
The part where governments will have their work cut out for them....that is assuming that the business owner wants to fight with them. If a business owner decides it is in their best interest to work with a government, they will do that. It is not controlled by the people, it is controlled by a person or a board, depending on the company. In the case of Starlink, a person.
If that person changes their mind (for being bored or otherwise) there is nothing that the people who want a "un-censorable, un-jammable, un-tappable, global communications network outside the jurisdiction of any country" can do about it. This is happenstance not a design element.
The dream is a good one, but practically it will never happen as it would have to be something that ever person, or at least a small group of people, could control....meaning a neighborhood could decide to launch their own system and practically make it a reality. Otherwise the public will still always be beholden to a business/government. Even with the case of a business...that person's decisions only go so far. What would happen if the US decided to pressure Elon into giving them access to everything that ran through the Starlink network or face regulations that he can never launch a rocket again or do business in the US again?
Apple is providing a feature similar to this with a different satellite provider that has nothing to do with Starlink and t-mobile customers
