iOS 18.4 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Still a bit weird. Screen says it doesn’t work when Siri is set to German but it does (it announced the time in German)

The bug many of us have been experiencing re: email notifications that started in 18.1 seems to have been fixed!!! (Tentatively--I just installed the beta and it seems to be fixed.)

This is what the bug was--now no more freezing and the expected result happens.

Expected result:

Tap on an email notification
Email goes straight to message

Actual result:

Tap on an email notification
Email goes to inbox instead and freezes for a few seconds

I still have the issue where you tap an email and it takes you an email from the same sender from months ago and you have to scroll all the way down to see the most recent one. Very annoying.

For the record, even though Apple recommends you are connected to Wi-Fi and plugged into power to download Apple Intelligence, it will still download over a cellular connection. Maybe you need to turn on allow more data over 5G, but it works.

It does not work for me - where I find the storage for AI?

Dude if you have no way to downgrade you should most likely hold off a bit. I am sure there will be nothing THAT important in it and a B1 that they pulled earlier doesn't seem like a good idea if you have no means to recover from it. At minimum wait a few days and see what gets reported. Just my two cents.

so the features found so far appear to be…
Apple Intelligence priority notifications.
New language and location availability with Apple Intelligence.
New “Food” category for Apple News+ subscribers.
New “ ambient music” option in the control center.
“ sketch” availability in image playground.
New “Vision Pro” app.
New Siri voices for international languages.


Maybe not massive, but also not nothing either.

Can’t get AI to get downloaded, even on WiFi now, changed location for it , do I need to be on wired charging while downloading AI?

But it says 6,18 GB storage used

:) Umm you could just plug it in and see. But if I recall somewhere it was stated that AI would download when plugged in and on wifi.
