iPhone 15 pro max

After installing this beta, my battery health goes from 97% to 93%. It is always hot and overheating when charging. I can’t downgrade since I turned on Stolen Device Protection...

Now I can only charge with Airplane Mode and Low Power Mode on.

I guess I can't get a repair on the battery since I chose to install this beta, right?
Give it a bit of time. There is a lot of background processing going on. This will settle in 1-2 days.
What do you mean by overheating? Does the charging process stops because of the temperature of the device?

Anyone else having trouble with Siri? This afternoon at a restaurant (on cell data), I tried accessing Siri and she could not hear me.... the icon did not animate and she just terminated after a short delay. I had Apple Intelligence turned off so I turned it on. I got the Siri icon and the animated border but still no response to my spoken input.

After rebooting, the icon now animated when I spoke but Siri put up a message "Something went wrong. Try again later".

Several times, the icon seemed to freeze while Siri was starting, with only part of it showing.

When I got home (on WiFi) Siri seems to work normally. Not sure if being on cell data or Wifi is significant......

My signal strength seems to have taken a big hit with this update. Not sure what modem firmware I was running previously so don’t know if it changed or not. (iPhone 13) reset network settings but no help. Anyone else noticing anything in that regard?
EDIT: ok just checked beta 2. Yeah modem update.
Similar issue but on connecting to Wi-Fi like using a personal hotspot with my iPhone seems to be very slow

Has the bug in the Mail app been fixed in this version, where clicking on a notification banner doesn’t take you directly to the email but only to the inbox, and the app freezes for about 5 seconds?

Wouldn't that make sense tho as it isn't yet offered in the EU?
You’re in the beta thread. Testing AI in other languages is the main purpose of this release. Will be live in April with support for French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish.

Glad to see it’s working for those in the EU. Means we are one step closer to RC.

I’m not sure if this is an isolated incident, but I have the beta running on my 15 Pro Max, and voice memos absolutely will not send for me. I’ve turned iMessage off and back on, reset my phone, etc. and nothing helps. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi. Does anyone can confirm if the screen flickering was resolved or still happening on this beta?
Thanks.

Maybe it isn’t available on beta 3 yet? I don’t know, hopefully they will make it available to European devices soon, as well as iPhone screen mirroring on macOS.
it was already on 18.4 b1 available in EU, but showed severe bugs in the German implementation making it not running reliable on devices set to German/German (System-/Siri- language),
These were finally confirmed and fixed in b3 by Apple

Having an issue on WiFi. When it loose the connection or I turn it off it still shows it’s connected to WiFi so I have no connection and nothing loads M4 iPad cellular

Those weren’t bugs, it takes a while to download all the required files for Apple Intelligence, until that is fully complete you won’t get the new Siri animation.

… it have been bugs as even loaded with the new animation and properly working, it fell back to non-AI/old Siri after short times and you had to re-trigger the download of the AI modules. Consistently…

I think Apple would not have confirmed that as a bug and implemented changes to allow it to work properly if that was working as designed.

Can't recall if this has been mentioned, but does anyone else have times when the lock screen notifications at the bottom won't scroll up to allow you to click on them?

Also, several times a week, I can't hold down a notification to give additional details or have it launch when clicked.

Also running into LS Notifications out of order. I’ll have intermittent notification from today showing up in yesterday’s list.
