Maybe it's placebo but animations, scrolling etc. look a lot smoother on my 15PM compared to RC1.
The build does actually feel really solid to me too. I’m very happy with it.Maybe it's placebo but animations, scrolling etc. look a lot smoother on my 15PM compared to RC1.
Yeah, they will be the tentpole feature of iOS 19. They will be expected in 19.4…then Apple will push them out for another year.Mail notifications still aren’t working 🤣
No issues with RC1 or RC2 for me. 18.3.2 was completely broken, but both RC have been flawless with mail notifications.Mail notifications still aren’t working 🤣

It’s funny because it’s true.
Mail notifications still aren’t working 🤣
Hope a glimpse of things to come personallySettings > Privacy & Security > HomeKit shows a round Settings app icon… bug, intentional, or perhaps a glimpse of things to come? 👀

Still no audible alerts for mail notifications. For those who are saying no issues with mail alerts, are you getting the audible sound for mail, or is it just that emails are now arriving in the inbox properly? Also, talking about stock mail app only on iPhone. Audible alerts work fine on watch and macOS.
Interesting. I’m on a 16 pro and no audible alerts.Email alerts with sound have been fixed for my 15 pro since 18.4 b4. So both in rc1 and now in rc2 working fine too.
One would think that reducing the number of options/permutations, it would free up cycles to focus or more important tasks such as bug fixing - meaning, provide the same options to set default apps globally instead of region based options. They'll eventually be forced to (or will pretend to have had an epiphany and decided upon it all by themselves) across the board, as with allowing other changes for "default" apps.
16 Pro and I get audible alerts for all three mail accounts I have configured (they’re all exchange active sync based).Interesting. I’m on a 16 pro and no audible alerts.
Go to settings>notifcations>mail>customize notifcations> iCloud. make sure both alerts and badges are toggled on then click sounds and set the tone you want. It should work after that.Still no audible alerts for mail notifications. Hopefully they fixed the reboots. I had three random complete reboots before RC 2. First time since I can even remember my phone completely crashed. Was crazyAnyone know what changed between the RCs?
Did you turn it off and turn it back on? I also have that bug in the notifications animations, but I wouldn't like to have the option to group notifications by app disabledFixed all my notification animations problems. I turned off grouping for each of my apps. Now everything animates correctly. Sweet.
Already set properly. Very odd.Go to settings>notifcations>mail>customize notifcations> iCloud. make sure both alerts and badges are toggled on then click sounds and set the tone you want. It should work after that.
I always set up phone up as new every point release and have to do this everytime to get audible alerts since iOS 17.
Exchange accounts have worked fine. Not affected. One would think that reducing the number of options/permutations, it would free up cycles to focus or more important tasks such as bug fixing - meaning, provide the same options to set default apps globally instead of region based options.

FWIW, YouTubers Aaron Zollo and Brandon Butch believe rc2 fixes the random reboots that they and many of their subscribers experienced on rc1.Hopefully they fixed the reboots. Just enabled my iCloud account on my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.4 RC 2, then quickly navigated to Settings> Notifications> Mail> Customize Notifications> and toggled iCloud Alerts and Badges on along with a tone.Exchange accounts have worked fine. Not affected.
So odd. No love for me. All settings are accurate.Just enabled my iCloud account on my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.4 RC 2, then quickly navigated to Settings> Notifications> Mail> Customize Notifications> and toggled iCloud Alerts and Badges on along with a tone.
I then opened the Mail app and got an audible alert for three new iCloud Mail messages.
