Is it POSIX 96 error in mail still here?
Yes. I didn't have it with b1 of this round, but, with b2 the Mail application is quite unhappy with connecting to my IMAP server. POSIX 96 error. Other mail applications work fine (Preside).

Stuttering stuttering stuttering has been the name of the game when unlocking my screen about 40% of the time. Or maybe it’s a refresh rate issue? Let’s hope 18.5 helps with that. It didn’t happen in early betas of 18.4.

I’m having issues with the Personal Hotspot. My mobile data works fine on the iPhone, however, the Mac shows “not connected to the internet”. 🤡

Well 18.5 seems to be quite stable according to most people, with decent battery life too!
So let’s hop on 18.5 beta 2 then 🤣

Seems to have escaped notice, but Vietnamese is now a supported Apple Intelligence language. That was the last one announced as not part of the 18.4 April release and just coming soon.

Barring a crazy bug, it takes days, at least, to really get an understanding of the impact of a new release on your battery.

A new release might involve re-indexing your photo library, or recalibrating the ML/Neural Engine data, or number of other new activities, which will have an impact on battery (and performance overall) for a bit of time after install.

Having crashes when taking photos in Portrait mode. Once I snap a photo, I get the rotating processing button and does not stop. I end up closing the camera and retaking it....

Not come across anything major on my 16e. There was one thing when pinching into a photo and it jumped in as far as it could go. After closing the photos app and reopening it, never done it again.

Performance is great and really fast. Battery life not much different to 18.4.
