That ain’t happening
If we're talking about the first gen AVP, of course it's happening. All the rumors point to Apple ending production sometime around the end of the year. In it's current form, the demand is simply too low for it to be a viable product. Doesn't mean that Apple won't try again with a cheaper, worse version (like the Homepod), but this one is not it

I guess that’s a possibility. Why didn’t they drop the RC for macOS 15.2 at least?

The answer is almost certainly: because they never intended to today (if it does not land later today).

Everyone who thinks there is drama at Apple about whether to release any particular piece of software or not is likely very mistaken. They decided on the schedule months ago and unless something very seriously goes wrong, they release it when they decided to release it.

Welll of course. Every piece of hardware is deprecated at some point.

My point is that Apple is not going to leave this market with its tail between its legs in defeat (which is what the other posters were clearly hoping for). This is just the beginning and the hardware will obviously improve. Might take a long time but it will happen eventually.

Mark Gurman said this yesterday

"First of all, things out of my control can change. That’s the fact of life. I don’t understand why people don’t understand that. Second of all: it’s coming tomorrow."
He was pretty confident yesterday…
Very confident indeed. I guess this means it will come today, like in 50min…

aha as soon as I agree with @gwhizkids look what happens. 🤣

Seriously maybe Apple found something that needs fixing and RC drops tomorrow?
macOS beta 4 showed Safari, system FW, Darwin Kernel, and ATV/Music all changing, it was why I anticipated another beta 5 before the RC. But Apple could lock down a RC seed and optimize that alternatively. That and the immediate week after Thanksgiving might make for a seeding even happen Thursday. That also implies 18.2 going public middle of next week possibly. 18.3 beta comes after that even.

That’s what he said yesterday..
He can’t even keep track of the day of the week, he thought Tuesday would be Wednesday, it’s worse than I thought! 😂🤣. (I put it in quotation marks, but he didn’t actually say that, I was just mocking him because he’s so darned “cautious” with his leaks now that he basically “leaks” things that are woefully obvious, like tomorrow being Wednesday). 👍🏻😂
