C’mon brothers and sisters, we can’t let Tim pull us apart like this, we’re all in this together, and that’s the only way we’ll win this battle.

Maybe if we pool all our money together we can afford to hire Tom Cruise to help us out?

We’ve gotten other betas on a Thursday before. We’ve had Friday releases, too. Everyone’s clamoring for the RC that was “supposed” to have been released already. I say tomorrow. It’s all a crapshoot anyway.
Good enough for me. I’m taking tomorrow off from work.

Maybe if no one posts in this thread tomorrow, we’ll actually get the RC. Gotta hit em with the element of surprise
This beta cycle is fragmented as far as releases go, not all in sync. You can see it here:

iOS 18.2 beta 3 (22C5131e) - November 11, 2024
iPadOS 18.2 beta 3 (22C5131e) - November 11, 2024
macOS 15.2 beta 3 (24C5079e) - November 11, 2024
tvOS 18.2 beta 2 (22K5138e) - November 11, 2024
watchOS 11.2 beta 2 (22S5083e) - November 11, 2024

tvOS 18.2 beta 3 (22K5148a) - November 18, 2024
visionOS 2.2 beta 3 (22N5794a) - November 18, 2024

November 19th you had the previous OS security patches for iOS/iPadOS MacOS, VisionOS.

iOS 18.2 beta 4 (Build 22C5142a) - November 20, 2024
ipadOS 18.2 beta 4 (Build 22C5142a) - November 20, 2024
MacOS 15.2 beta 4 (Build 24C5089c) - November 20, 2024
watchOS 11.2 beta 3 (Build 22S5094a) - November 20, 2024

visionOS 2.2 beta 4 (22N5800a) - December 3, 2024

So what happened to tvOS beta 4 along with watchOS 11.2 beta 4?

Why aren"t we moving in unison with all seven OS's closer to when the RC's get seeded?
Yes somewhat a mess at the moment.

The purpose of a beta is to find and report bugs. I’ve found only one in iOS 18.2 22C5142a during the current test period and I’ve reported it. Seems like it’s pretty solid to me.

I don’t get the urgency for a new build. It’s not going to be massively different than the current build. My mind boggles. Get real people.

All the beta logging eats battery life, and that's pretty permanent if it's overheating, draining quicker, and there is a need to charge more - I think a lot of us are waiting for an OS that can last the day, especially with all the AI use which is more of a hit on the battery.

Yeah, I have no real issues with the current builds. So all good.

You are supposed to install a beta on a ‘test device’. If you’re using it on your main phone and you don’t have enough battery then don’t use a beta on your main phone.

This is a pretty basic rule for beta testing. If you don’t have a test device, don’t risk your main phone. And if you do and the beta hurts your experience, it’s 100% your fault, not Apple’s. So, dry your eyes 😭

No but I’m sure the 2 UK networks that have both stated the 9th are privy.

Sure. But that’s not what this person has been posting about. They’re posting about the RC release date with absolutely zero knowledge of Apple’s internal schedule and then getting angry that some milestone they made up in their own head hasn’t been met.

I get so fed up with that kind of anger here. It’s childish.

We all like to speculate on this forum. But at the end of the day, that’s all we’re doing: using evidence of Apple’s past behavior to try to predict its future behavior. Without perfect information (i.e., being Craig Federighi), it’s simply a guessing game.

I frankly doubt that there is much of an impact with that. I usually notice no difference between the final betas and an RC/ final release.

My 16 pro max is usually between 30 - 40% by the time I go to bed and I have battery limit at 80%

Well my 16 Pro was overheating on the way to work whilst using Apple Music for about 40 minutes, if i wasn't on a beta then that usually doesn't happen.

Wow that sucks. I use Apple Music to work and hardly lose over a couple % during commute time which is around 45 minutes.

Yes somewhat a mess at the moment.

AI code being more troublesome in some departments than others maybe?
