The last few years the .5 had been four betas and a RC. One year two RCs, so most likely based on trends we’ll get beta 4 this week and RC week of May 5th. Potentially public week of May 12th. My two cents and guess…….

Because it’s most of the time like this ?
Typically and I mean 99% of the time, it’s just a week between RC and public release. Often times it’s only 6 days.
There’d been times where there was an RC2 on a Thursday or Friday and then public release on Tuesday as well.

I don’t remember a 2 week gap in recent times.

Me neither. I don’t recall many betas were there was a 2 week gap between an RC beta and public release in the past two beta cycles…

Generally, there's only a 2 week gap in a Point Release beta 1 to beta 2, not for an RC. Sometimes we get an RC within 6 or so days, sometimes we get an RC late in the week with a release the following Monday or Tuesday.. Not going to see a 2 week gap from here..

We'll probably see beta 4 tomorrow and an RC on the 5th.

Beta 4, not RC

So do we think that Apple will push an 18.4.2 to comply with the court proceedings or push an updated 18.5 release earlier?

As they have to comply immediately.
