Is the update stuck on the apple logo with a full progress bar for anyone else? 15PM

Apple intelligence was on before the update

Just did the update on my 16 pro max and lose 6% battery while updating when I usually just lose 2-3% max. Normal?

After going through the comments, I don't think I'll be updating my 17PM to 26.0.1 at the moment

Terrible take, this fixes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth disconnection issues for iPhone 17 series phones.

My phone is not facing this issue at the moment. The only issue out of the lot that I am facing is the app icons going blank after changing to tinted icons. Don't want to mess up the battery timing that the updates are usually notorious of doing.

Is any else experiencing this flicker it’s driving me nuts I just updated to 26.0.1

Just updated.
This is far worse than it was before.
Most apps are now freezing. Even safari.
Lock screen is a mess, face id doesn’t work.
What a joke
Try a full fresh install using the IPSW instead of the OTA. The IPSW install tends to reduce any bugs or issues with the partial OTA installs. I always wait for the IPSW and use that on my Mac to update my iPhone. Yes its a large file, but its the full iOS release.

Loads of issues with email in the Mail app; mail not downloading, not showing previews etc

Thankfully I don't appear to have this issue, my unread emails on my iPhone match the unread emails on my Mac. My iPhone contains emails from this morning and they have 2 line previews showing as expected.

Do you have any error messages showing in the line just under the "All Mail" heading if you view all mail on the iPhone. I sometimes get errors asking me to log in again for my Yahoo or Gmail accounts. Did't happen for me this time thankfully.

As I did with the iOS 26.0 release I’ll give it a week to make final judgement. My battery performance after iOS 26 update was abysmal. 5-6 days in and it was back to iOS 18 levels of battery performance on my 15Pro.

Interesting, was just checking MS Intune (Admin tool for enterprises) and iOS 26.0.2 was listed. Normally it takes a few hours after release before they show up for distribution.

the notification is it working well? I suddenly find those News notification , etc alert like become slient. I check is turn on.

I reported this delay or loss of notifications in the iOS 26.0 betas—I don't remember which one—and Apple sent me an email indicating that they'd fixed it in the first beta of iOS 26.1.
I assume that since it doesn't happen permanently, they didn't give it a high priority.

I updated with the Apple Devices app for Windows, which updates by downloading the ipsw file, and it also sent me to what you mentioned. Wait for it to finish and everything will be back in place.

Just now I switch to silent mode via by sliding the side of the iPhone. It " seem " the notification sound is back. Have to monitor see any new update notification do give an alert.

26.0.1 seems to have fixed a few issues though I have noticed that no ones had a new speaker and larger battery in the air since the update. Pro 16 here not overheating and running well with no battery issues which is a miracle considering iOS 26 looks like a Christmas decoration for penguins.

I’m still getting cellular dropouts on 26.01, so that issue isn’t fixed for me. I’m using the base 17 on visible.

Anyone else having this insane flickering when activating keyboard in safari? Luckily I’m not epileptic 😜 but it’s definitely very annoying to look at.

Using an iPhone 17 pro max now (came with iOS 26.0 installed), and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with unlocking any device with Face ID I’ve ever had. I’ve used Face ID with iPhones and iPads for generations, but going from the lock screen to the home screen via Face ID is a hit and miss. I’ve reset my Face ID, restarted the phone and done every trick in the book. Was hoping that 26.0.1 was going to fix it, but it’s still buggy.
I believe it is software related, as it works flawlessly in every app that requires Face ID. If it was a faulty camera, it probably wouldn’t have worked at all.
I hope Apple sorts this one out, as I have to type in my 6 digit code several times a day just to unlock my phone.
Has anybody else experienced the same?
