Well so far this is running really well on iP16 and loving the new settings/changes and glass effects. However the battery is STILL in the tank like B1 was. No idea how this can be since again the battery stats are not really showing anything abnormal but battery is about 1/2 of what it was on 26.0 and 26.0.1. Gonna give it a few more days but geez I am really getting disappointed and brain frozen on what its doing any differently than the previous two versions.

Does 26.1 fix the issue when always on display is enabled, randomly when unlocking the Home Screen icons take an extra second to draw?

Hey friends, I purchased an iPhone 17 Pro and essentially downsized from an iPhone 16 Pro Max. I am actually happier I went to a smaller size device. That said; the only frustrating issue that I cannot seem to fix is if I enable the Zoom view in Settings > Display & Brightness to make the appearance big the phone dial pad appears distorted. I’m not sure if I’m hitting a bug but this was there when I first got the phone on 26.0 before I updated to beta again from the iPhone 16 Pro Max so I don’t believe it’s a beta issue. Does anyone know what this could be? Perhaps a distortion bug carried over from iCloud restore from 16 Pro Max?

I tried a bunch of things and even reset all settings which was annoying as it deleted my Apple Pay cards and I had to re-do my whole Apple wallet. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thank you!

I have had an issue for almost a year that when upgrading OS to beta or public releases, something keeps running post upgrade (even 3-4 days after) that has this battery draining effect. Doing 1-2 hard reboots (volume up, volume down, hold power until Apple logo) almost always fixes it.

I have filled software upgrade bugs to for this, which have gone unnoticed.

So far I like 26.1 beta 2 much better than 26.0.1. Seems to be doing fine in my iPhone 15 and iPad Air M1. It even fixed my previously broken Live Activity feeds in CarPlay. The only discovered bug so far is with AirDrop between my iPhone and MBP.

Almost perfect performance on my Air apart from a stutter when swiping home screens quickly after exiting an app. This first started happening on 26.1 B1 and is slightly better in B2 - happens around 40-50% of the time rather than 80-90% under B1. If I wait half a second after exiting an app it’s fine. No other stuttering at all (Safari is smooth) throughout the OS and main apps that I’ve noticed. Battery life is fine, possibly slightly improved over B1 but only based on my perception and not any usage analysis to confirm.

I’m glad Music has those swipe controls now, because when you scroll down and the now playing bar shrinks, the “next track” button disappears.

This also allows you to go to the previous track on the now playing bar, which wasn’t possible before.

I don’t have any icons reloading when swiping but I use two Siri suggestions widgets for my only homescreen.

My issue is swiping from widgets to homescreen and homescreen to App Library is extremely choppy 100% of the time.

Issue appears with iOS 26 and was not fixed with both 26.0.1 and 26.1 beta 1.
Happy that beta 2 did it.

I did not have a problem with podcasts in iOS 26 and 26.01 either. In fact, I was running iOS 26.0 betas since DB3 and never came across it on my iPhone 15 with wired CarPlay. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve never used AOD, but this issue persists through 26.1 beta 2, may be a little worse. Since a few others have stated they are not seeing it, your mileage may vary🤷‍♂️-17PM and 13’ M4 iPad Pro.

The latest beta has rendered my ipad almost unuseable. I can’t blame the apps because it happens to HBOmax, Hulu, Disney, and Prime. The audio gets funky, then straight up shuts off. Sometimes a reboot fixes it.

All i know is my battery life completely tanked with adaptive battery turned on. Could barely get half a day out of it. I let it learn for a few weeks but it was just horrible with it turned on. If you have bad battery life try to turn that off and see if it helps.
Strange, were you getting notifications that Adaptive Battery was kicking in?
