Apparently so. My search is working perfectly. So I guess it depends on what specifically is broken on your end. Perhaps describe what is broken and folks and try it and see.
It’s a common, but not ubiquitous issue that has been widely reported with iOS 26.x.

I had no idea until my spouse pointed out that search was not showing a specific setting. Settings app searches on our identical phones with the same carrier and iOS 26 version would return different results. Mine, on the other hand, were complete (or at least more complete).

So in that case I guess those affected will need to update and see if it solves the issue for them. Thanks for the info.

iPhone 15 Pro and after this update my phone feels snappier and the battery life seems better too.
Most likely a placebo, it’s a point point update and for me it’s exactly the same with all the same bugs and horrible keyboard still there

Went for the update today via my Mac and cable - downloaded fine, then all hell broke loose. It wiped device entirely, couldn't update, and couldn't even 'find' phone - so a restore from backup was not possible.

Deja vu moment from last year when the install of 26 somehow coincided with a completely fried logic board. They said total coincidence, but really? Their install of new one did the same, so they gave up and handed me a new phone.

Today, it was another visit to Apple Store, where techs were able to strong-arm iOS back onto device and a slow restore from iCloud (from a backup yesterday, thank goodness) brought device back to life. Tech - while helpful, called it a 'glitch'. I have other words for it.

After the update, on iPad Pro 11” 3rd gen, it seems like there’s some system service that’s mauling battery life. Normal approaches don’t seem to help identify the source, and it does persist after a shutdown / restart.

Anyone else seeing this, or just me?

26.2.1 did fix the Settings search bar not working bug, though it didn't work initially. I guess the phone had to index everything or something.

A bug I have noticed is that the option to not have the camera button activate the camera if the screen is off still doesn't work.

Installed it yesterday on my 11" iPad pro M1. I have the cellular 2TB version tho, so might be different from yours.
Haven't noticed any extra battery drain, but tbh, I haven't used it that much, just a bit of browsing, reedit and Netflix.
And since I installed it yesterday morning it might be to early to tell.

Huge performance boost, especially noticeable on my iPad Pro 2018. Feels usable again! 🥳
But also my iPhone 17 Pro and iPad Pro M5 are running much more smoothly.

Hoping for the rumors regarding iOS 27 focussing on performance become true...

Well, tiMMy cOOk, thank you for another F**ked up "micro" update (26.2.1) which resulted in a BRICKED IPHONE 17 PM!!

I salute your retirement, for it couldn't come soon enough!

Not that Apple will "fix" anything, wait for it, until iOS 27! How about your admission of failure on iOS 26.x.x!

iOS 26 has been a failure! I am sick and tired of updating my iPhone, then having to basically take it back to factory settings and start all over again! Screw you and your decisions on another reckless operating system release!

Before all you sanctimonious Apple Nerds start hating on my device, it is a recently purchased, new phone where I have documented the struggle to get a device that worked, and then the iOS update nightmares!

It seems every OS has its issues - and the more "Squirrel!" features they add, the likelihood something will go wrong expands. Linux no different.

To borrow and adapt from a famous quote - "All OSs are equal but some OSs are more equal than others".

And a stable one that does exactly what its supposed to do with no fuss does nothing for the developers or shareholders.

The control center swipe down bar sometimes is stuck in between.
Can apple just get rid of the swipe bar?
I'm sure everyone knows where to swipe for the control center.

All of my devices with 26 on them burn through battery much faster thsan they did with 18. I went from 18.7.2 to 26.2. 26.2.1 is the same.

iOS 26.2 was very stable for me is only 26.2.1 that is draining very badly compared to previous iOS update. Never had such a bad battery drain in my life after an update, hopefully after a few more days it will stable and is taking too many days to stable.
