Doesn’t seem to be an issue on the 17 Pro. Phone locks after the 30 seconds and attention awareness is also turned on.

For the first time, my 15Pro Max feels soggy in battery saver mode. Probably I need to reset the phone but it is a hassle. Waiting for a the next build.

I recently upgraded from a 15 Pro Max to a 17 Pro Max. I’ve always run the beta on both, but I never expected the iOS 26 beta on the 17 Pro Max to have this many bugs compared to the 15 Pro Max version.

A few issues I’m seeing:

  • Settings Search: It only looks for apps; it won't search through actual setting options.
  • Apple Wallet: Constant errors when trying to add new cards.
  • Apple CarPlay: It takes forever to connect now, whereas it used to be instant.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

How long have you been running the 17pro? I had to wait a couple days for indexing, then those issues disappeared

Anyone think we’re getting 26.3 beta 3 tomorrow?
Based on previous years, there's a high chance that next week it'll jump straight from beta 2 to RC1.

(but given how buggy this release has been, it's possible they'll extend the usual schedule by another week for a beta 3 to try to squeeze in a few more fixes)

I wonder if the longer than usual beta period has to do with the sunsetting of the older Apple Home architecture on February 10th. If we don't get an RC next week, and do indeed get Beta 3… maybe we have to wait until Feb 10th for 26.3.

Not any more. It looks like Apple is releasing watchOS 26.2.1, so perhaps there’ll be an iOS 26.2.1 as well and iOS 26.3 will stay in beta (which is not their usual cycle length).

Here we go.

I was on beta 2 on my 17 Pro until this morning, when all internet connectivity stopped. Nothing via cellular or WiFi. The only thing I could do with cellular was make and receive calls, and who does that anymore? (kidding, but it's true that texting has replaced probably 50% of my non-business calls)

I do not know if beta 2 played a role in what happened. Just thought I'd note this experience.

The phone is working now. But none of the easy or moderately easy fixes worked, I had to use the nuclear option - wiped the phone and reinstalled the OS (which was the latest public release, 26.2.1). Happily, upon signing into my Apple ID, I got all of my contacts, my history of text messages and email, my calendar events, etc etc. Like you would expect. Unhappily, the phone doesn't see the iCloud backup I made yesterday (maybe because I was on 26.3 beta 2 when the iCloud backup was made), so, alas, I have to manually download & install all 3rd party apps.

Again, quite possibly not a 26.3 beta 2 problem. But could be, I really don't know.
