Where is the full bug list and the fixed items? I am still waiting for a fix for the lock screen shutting off after 10 seconds, which isn't enough time to read notifications. I won't be updating any more Apple devices until this is fixed. Reported to Apple 12 times now. I am so pissed off with this.

Guess nobody sticking around with 26. 27.0 seems to be really good (and new) so everyone doing that instead. Guess will have to install and see how it goes. I suspect it will be a more stable 26.5.2 for us not iP17 users.

Just unlock, then pull down notification screen 🤷🏻‍♂️

FWIW. Watching Zollotech’s latest video, it seems iOS 26.6 is better overall vs 26.5 & 26.5.1 regarding smoothness and bugs, also the highest benchmark scores he’s had on the 17 Pro devices.

It’s all about iOS 27 now but I’m not ready to install such an early beta of a new software version. No doubt there’ll be a few steps forward then one step back as the new 27 betas get released.

I saw it too. He bases his assessment on his own experience plus that of viewers who comment on their experience in response to his prompts. I like Brandon Butch better, but Brandon doesn't give much information about the performance of non-major updates like Zollo does.

Based on Zollo's reports about 26.6, I installed beta 2 (coming from 26.5.1). It's only been a day, but so far it's better than 26.5.1 and earlier in my experience so far. 26.6 b1 seemed to also be better than 26.5.1 and earlier judging by most user responses to Zollo's query.

I know iOS 27 is the exciting release, but like many folks I won't be installing until a few more betas, so my focus remains on updates to iOS 26. I'm pretty happy about the performance improvements 26.6 appears to bring.

That’s good to know your experience going from 26.5.1 to 26.6, what device are you using? Too early to pass judgment on battery life?

Looking forward to the release of 26.6! Won’t be making the jump to iOS 27 just yet.

I updated to 26.6 B2 from 26.5.1 on my 17 Pro and I'm not seeing much improvement, maybe it's slightly smoother but random stutters are still happening. But to be fair, for me, 26.5.1 wasn't that bad in terms of speed and smoothness, just these random stutters when unlocking phone, swiping on Home Screen and in various 3rd party apps.

When it comes to battery life, I actually updated hoping it'd fix atrocious battery life on 26.5.1 (even though it's a beta) and I think it's too early too tell but today it drained more than 26.5.1. I'll wait 1-2 more days for final judgment.

YMMV, but the second beta just released seems much kinder on my 17 Pro battery life – noticed in the first beta is was draining quickly with light-to-moderate usage.

I wonder why EverythingApplePro no longer reviews beta builds. I believe he is the most comprehensive when it comes to finding changes between beta releases and now others seem to have taken his place. His latest video is about the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air drop tests.

He's too busy making and selling cases now.

26.5.1 has been the smoothest iOS 26 for me to date, it’s mostly enjoyable now.
