Is 26.6 improving with each beta? Or is it still a pile of crap like iOS 26 has been….
I can only speak for myself. I've been running the 26.6 developer betas starting with beta 2. For me, all the 26.6 betas have been better than 26.5.x.

The current beta, 26.6 beta 5, is the best version of iOS 26 since iOS 26 was released, IMHO. I know that's not much of a compliment, but 26.6 is truly smooth and virtually free of any glitches. Battery life is as good or better than any previous version of iOS 26. 26.6 is the version Apple should have released last September.

It's still iOS 26, which has rough edges compared to the many refinements of iOS 27. But it'll get most people by just fine until iOS 27 is released in September.

I certainly recommend that everyone running on any previous version of iOS 26 install iOS 26.6 when it is released to the public in the next week or two.
