Sorry if this sounds basic, but how do you initiate a Facetime Audio call on iOS 26? When you go to the Contacts app and you click on the Facetime button, it defaults to Facetime Video which I do NOT want. When you click on the call button it defaults to a mobile call which I do NOT want either.
If you hold your finger on the "call" icon, it should open a list.
Also, in Settings / Apps / Phone, you can set the default calling app to Facetime, although I think once you've done the above and selected Facetime audio, it'll default to that next time you just tap the call icon.

I’m pretty sure that is intentional, so that “legitimate.com.phishing.net” doesn’t misleadingly show as “legitimate.com”.
Installed beta 6 on my 16 PM. It’s smooth, no problems, performance is great, all apps work, but the battery life is crap. I hope that beta 7 will fix that.
Ok, but then perhaps they could make it scroll within the address bar, so we could still see the whole thing.

I have the iPhone 16e, which because of Apple’s modem really does have incredible battery life. But not anymore lol. I used to get home and have 50-60% left, could literally seemingly use it all day on 18.6. I charge 2-3x daily on the iOS 26 beta, and even in the battery section it says that my usage almost every hour I check, is 20-30% higher than average to what it was.
What problems ? I am using personal hotspot fairly regularly and no problems so far, which problems you have?

I have to say. I’m very very impressed with the latest beta. Usually I hold off until RC or official release but couldn’t wait anymore.
This is very very useable and stable. Considering it’s an all new design and UI it very good. Didn’t imagine Apple would be able to ship this kind of performance on the first release. Considering there’s almost a month until release it’s looking to be a very good initial release.

anyone know what this setting is for on the messages app settings?
That would be an option, though personally I dislike scrolling text (Reduce Motion would hopefully turn it off) and am fine with tapping or swiping on text to see it in full when needed.

If I understood the issue correctly, the problem might come from a profile installed on your iPhone, rather than your computer, so you would first need to remove the work profile from your phone, if applicable and allowed.
It's wild that no source online or on forums knows what this setting does. I'm assuming perhaps it's for a feature of iOS 26 that hasn't been rolled out yet, because toggling it ON and OFF does nothing.
This is an easy toggle.
Once you open it up, if enabled, it starts with photos.
