iOS 26 Speculation Thread

Do you think they will delay the launch this year? If they delay it we will see beta 4 next week. If not, we will have to see the RC next week.

Strange, do you work for Apple and you're posting their long predetermined schedule?

Apple isn't delaying anything. And they're most certainly not releasing something early because "it feels ok". They've got a schedule, and they probably knew many months ago, or longer, what day 26.2 RC will be released. And we'll most certainly get a 4th beta before an RC, too.

Look for 26.2b4 in week 49 and then the RC in week 50.

and to add on this, the schedule they have I am sure accounts for times when many people will be out of the office and or Apple is down to minimal staffing. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc. Hence why it feels like every year we see a beta 1 before Christmas and then nothing for two or three weeks until after the New Year.

Do you need to work at Apple to speculate? Looking at the release history of iOS X.2, which usually comes out in the second week of December; also seeing that they've always released four betas, and knowing that so far they've released three, I think it's logical to think that there might be a delay this year.
This, or releasing the RC beta and the final version in the same week, as has happened before. Another option is to skip beta 4 and go directly to RC next week.

Oh sure, you can "speculate" or guess whatever you like! :)

But again, nothing was or will be released this week (Happy Thanksgiving) and then we'll see b4 next week. That much is for sure. The "odds" that that will also be the RC, which would in turn mean that it's the final release, are slim to none. Again, Apple's internal schedule doesn't allow for "hey, maybe we should change this and this..."
Their schedule is their schedule and they knew it a LONG time ago.

Which day this coming week do you guys think is likeliest for whatever it is Apple releases? Monday the 31st does seem quite soon after a week off; plus, Sunday, Nov. 30th is the last day of Apple's Thanksgiving Break according to the AppleSeed newsletter.

Also, again—Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡🥧🍂🦃

Beta 4 on Monday - 100%. It’s going to be very polished.
