We do only really care about 26.4 - right? 😀

I actually do care about 26.3, because with it being so long with no update since 26.2. Therefore they are not patching bugs and more importantly they are also not patching security issues. I get the point that everyone is excited for 26.4, me as well. But right now we have gone a while without any updates.

A. Sometimes releases have come out later in the day, though not necessarily common.

B. There’s still Thursday tomorrow, which is also a possibility.

But don’t forget Christmas and New Years.
I would guess if there would be a critical security issue currently they would definitely drop a smaller update.

It's probably a little like the warranty on the box scene from the movie Tommy Boy. The 26.3 update is crying out to me to make me feel all better ;)

I wish they were just solid lines, at least in high-contrast mode. The bevel effect is really cheap-looking.
If you turn on show borders in settings it makes the border solid lines at least for widget groups and app groups. Seems to make the icons a little less glassy too.

I really enjoyed the dark icons on iOS 18, but the reflective borders drive me so crazy on iOS 26 that after being unable to adapt for 6 months, I’ve gone back to light icons in dark mode. The app borders are what I truly, truly despise about this OS. Crazy that there’s no accessibility setting to disable them.
Would agree here. For me also one of the worst looking elements of iOS 26.

UPDATE: Just filled feedback, FB21709369 (Uniform App Icon Borders Using ‘Show Borders’) :)

Here’s the included description: “The beveled ‘glass’ app icon edge, compared to the more apparent, thinner line around home screen folders and other interface elements, feels less than optimal from an accessibility and consistency standpoint.

“I think it would look more cohesive and more visually ergonomic to replace that beveled glass edge around app icons with the same type of border used for home screen folders and other interface elements.”

Crap. I forgot to include “when Show Borders is enabled” somewhere in there but I hope they get the gist, if they even see it or care (unlikely).
