I have the APP2. Really interesting that the APP3 is considered to be less neutral, I had no idea there would be such a difference.
It’s definitely worth checking out some of the threads about their sound performance - some people absolutely hated them and returned them immediately, while others love the sound and think they’re MORE balanced than the APP2. It’s wild!

I think I’ll stick with my APP2s until the 4’s come out, at least 🙂

If past timelines hold true, beta 2 should be released tomorrow. These estimated dates in the screen shot below are based on the actual release dates of iOS 26 beta

Like many, all my devices are still indexing. As there is a strong possibility of beta 2 being released Monday or Tuesday, would updating force the indexing to restart? I'd hate to think so...
Yes. Installing a new iOS beta will often start the indexing process all over again. Whenever major changes are made to search infrastructures, databases, or AI models (like Apple Intelligence), the system requires a complete rebuild of the index to work properly.

However indexing is not evil 😈 it’s just necessary… so keep plugged in , keep low power mode off and let it do its thing!

Perhaps I’m misremembering, but haven’t there been cycles in the past where beta 2 was out 3 weeks after beta 1, then betas 3-5 or so are every two weeks, and any after that are every week?

Fingers crossed for tomorrow though!

Maybe I'm alone in this thinking, but don't install a beta and then complain that it's driving you crazy that something is broken.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Yet I install the beta every year and get driven crazy by the issues. Every time I swear it's the last time, but here I am!

But I don't really grumble on MR about the bugs (except about how my decision led to me experiencing them).

That being said, if my watch can stop being randomly triggered by Siri for no reason, and I can crop my screenshots before saving, I'll be a happier man.

Had a few instances of iPhone security-locked while not being used and sitting in my pocket. I remember my code just fine, it is just having to wait that poses a problem.

Anyone else? Can this be a false screen touch as I walk and, if so, can it be tweaked down somewhere in the Settings?

Update: disabled Tap to Wake in Settings > Accessibility > Touch, should do the trick.

That only happened once with iOS 10. Every other major release saw a beta roughly after 2 weeks of the original release (anywhere between 14 and 17 days after beta 1). iOS 18 and 26 took 14 days, so going by the previous schedule, beta 2 could release today.

The schedule mostly comprises of 4 betas 2 weeks apart, then a series of 3 to 4 betas a week apart, followed by one week of RC. Although it must be said that for iOS 15, 17 and 18, the last beta prior to RC lasted for 2 weeks.

Wanted to share a few updates I’ve gotten about bugs filed in the Feedback app over the last few days:

We’ll see if these get addressed tomorrow 🤞
Yea let’s see

also I don’t think it’s updating to older versions just showing old change log on the app update screen as if you tap on the app and go into its page it’s displays the newest change log

Yeah, I'm still indexing on my phone-with-very-little-data (and the basic 5GB iCloud) so I'm looking forward to all the smug "it's finished on my phone!" people to start indexing from the beginning again 😁
My guess is that, if we do see that message appear again, it will quickly disappear for those like you and me.

Yes. It might take less time though. They are also apparently doing a big index as part of 26.6, so when people upgrade it will be smoother than the beta cycle. All that said, I would recommend keeping your development device lean so it indexes quickly and don't sync it to iCloud. Do not have every text, email, note, and picture on a test device. Keep those for your personal devices. I never even saw the index message on my 17PM.

iPhone Air
My Colorado (2021) has wired Car Play. It has BT for basic functions. I usually use the BT for my music list (YT Music).
Was out running around most of the day and the BT connection would randomly quit. Most times it would reconnect on its own but sometimes I had to shut BT off on the Air and turn it back on to reconnect. New behavior.

Can’t recreate the issue as I traded that truck in on a new one. I’ll let you know how connections go with that but will likely be for Beta 2.

Yes, spell check and grammar really really suck. Had to edit this twice manually as it changed words on post.

The estimated schedule for iOS 27 beta releases I listed are based on the release dates of iOS 26 beta releases.

Had a white screen of death on my 16PM following the restart after update and entering passcode. Taken 30mins to revive.

Did this new auto restore procedure I’ve never seen before.
