Sounds like a lot of issues are popping up for beta 3. I guess it's to be expected with such an early build of a major release. It's great you guys are publishing the bugs here. Keeps me on the stable iOS 26 for now, can't handle my phone doing annoying things.
I'm the same, it's annoying when things don't work properly. That said, I've fought the urge to install DB3, but will definitely be reconsidering things for PB1 (which will presumably be DB4).

I will probably wait at least a couple of days first though to see if others installing PB1 report any show stopping bugs, or not.

Definitely impatient for the "27" version for Apple's operating systems!

I was just on a plane, so had to use my iPhone offline. I had downloaded some music, including several playlists. I found out that, when playing the playlists, the music cuts off about 20 seconds into each song. Closing the app and restarting the song lets it play (so it’s downloaded properly), but the same issue appears with the next song, etc.

I remember this was happening last year too (or the year before that?). TBH I’ve always been on beta software, but getting really tired of the same regressions popping up over and over again.

Last year I started trying waiting until beta 3/4 before I install a beta, precisely because of this phenomenon.

I’m not even sure if I want to do that anymore or just stay off beta… I don’t mind bugs, I’m annoyed that it’s always the same problems over and over again.

Lmao what 🤣

edit: Oh, I went to non-EU country and the new Siri got activated.

Anyone know why my iCloud backup of my phone has like 10x in size ever since beta 2? It's gone from 3GB to 33GB, and I don't have "Files" included in it. I tried deleting it, restarting, then recreating the backup twice, and it's still absurdly big.

Yes, as much as I want to start from the very first DB1… I’ve done that before and when things don’t work, it’s not much fun.

Of course people will still find bugs once 27.0 is released, with some waiting for 27.1 before they’ll even consider updating.

Like I said above, when PB1 is launched, I may well install it because I’m tired of waiting, even though I’m also tired of bugs!

I’ve just experienced my 16P performance getting crippled. Phone had been sitting on charger all night and after taking it off performance gradually got worse to the point everything was lagging. Had to restart the phone to restore performance to normal. Haven’t had that issue before. Phone was suddenly getting very hot too without doing anything on the phone.

Some kind of indexing bug, maybe? Glad a restart fixed it.

It’s amazing that a few fixes here and there to existing, long standing apps, or fixes to other parts of the OS can turn into such a beta sh!tsh0w.

Sometimes I wonder if Apple inserts the bugs on purpose, just to give people the sense of satisfaction that they found something “wrong”…

I am not sure if this is new but could old Siri pre ios26 add three alarms and reminders in one query? I haven’t tried it but I did get it working tonight on 27b3.
I’m on iOS26.5 on my main phone.

I initially asked Siri: “Can you set three alarms 5 minutes apart please, with the first starting at 9:15am today.” She started a 5 minute timer.

I then asked Siri: “Can you set three alarms please, the first at 9:15am today, then 9:20am today and lastly 9:25am today.” Only the 9:15am alarm got set.

(Yes, I do say ‘please’ when asking Siri to do tasks!)

Wifi bug 🐛

Even after leaving my house and driving a few blocks a way it still shows one bar yet the internet does not work if cellular is off obviously.

Happened the same to me, maybe they updated something in the firmware making actual OS not recognising the new iOS (quite common, happens every year). Also you can just install the Xcode beta if you want the easy but slower way.
Thank Bud 😊

Did OTA first then ipsw no issues.
I'm curious, where does this reasoning come from? If you've updated successfully via OTA, why bother with the IPSW?

For myself, I never do IPSW and just don't have unusual issues at all.. for many years. Normal issues that others chatter about, sure.. however, to be fair, I usually start the beta cycle by clearing my iPhone completely and starting over from scratch (no restore from backup) -- and this may be more psychological for me than necessary, I'll admit

In the past, I've done it both way and had just as many problems with a clean install; I stopped wasting my time with IPSWs and just strictly went OTA. During the installation process, the device is getting a brand new OS in a new partition and wiping the old OS partition one once it's verified as working so it's the same thing anyway. The only time a DFU install is necessary is when the boot partitions get corrupted (bricked), which I've personally haven't had happen in years.

Nowadays, as a US professional, my iPhone is also my work device (ugh), so I'll admit to just jumping on the RC bandwagon to beat the public server slow down on launch day, if the consensus is that major releases are as stable or more stable than the previous release.

Yep, just get ready for it disappearing again once you are back in the EU. The Siri AI chatbot app will stay on after your return, it just won’t work any longer. Triggering Siri AI from the DI will no longer work either. Basically, your Siri will jump back to its rosy iOS 26 version.

In the positive side, next time you get out of the EU, it will work again.

Started yesterday on both the Air and iPad Pro.
Safari.
Some websites are showing up blank. All black or white depending on display setting.

Ran into this when updating information on the State MVD website. A couple of pages in - black.
Same on another forum site.

Interesting. I was on a flight this past week and didn’t have this issue listening to Music playlists. iPhone 17 Pro. My phone was in Airplane Mode some but not all of the time. I wonder if the behavior would be reproducible putting the phone in Airplane Mode or just disabling all of the connectivity.

Back to my last post here’s a photo it’s bad quality as couldn’t use iPhone t take picture as was air playing haha

Evri app for some reason shows a full screen splash on airplay and the layout is full screen when airplaying to ATV.

No other app does this for me 🤷

Future desktop mode for phones?
